| A true accident it was for Illyrian, the clownish wolf, both in appearance and personality. She has been patrolling the borders when she saw a small, year old deer pass by. She knew that her packmates were hunting and Cheveyo was watching the new pups (Which she adored and would've watched herself if they let her.), but she thought it was too good to pass up. She'd successfully caught full grown white-tailed deer herself as a loner, and this was an adolescent doe, not even close to full grown. Sure chasing prey was what originally lead to a lot of the hyperactive wolf's problems, but the wolf had no foresight at that moment, if she ever did. She caught her deer, being a relatively skilled hunter, but she blindly entered Eastern territory in the heat of the chase. She had not used her abilities to increase her speed, and so wasn't dramatically winded, but was still fairly tired and panting crazily. She stared at her catch with large, widened glassy golden eyes, her fur puffed up like a clowns and her blue and green streaked white fur only increasing he clownish appearance. She intended originally to bring it back, but now, she was hungry.
YUM-YUM is RIGHT THERE!!! SO HUNGRY, BUT THE PUPPIES ARE HUNGRY TOO, and their CUTE!!! While helplessly standing there, staring at the lifeless, but still warm and fresh doe she had caught, cartoon pictures of poultry started to dance in her mind in place of the deer as her hunger began to overwhelm her. Surely a bite or two couldn't hurt! One step, than another. The wolf, with her sharp ivories, could of easily consumed it, but then she sniffed her surroundings. Bouncing back and staring fitfully and fearfully in the direction of more Eastern territory, the female muttered to herself as she decided what to do, -"Please no scary Easty wolf, please no scary wolves with fire and eyes that will blow me up...," She quickly decided to drag her prey back with her, but then, when she tried to drag it by it's neck, discovered it was more heavy than she thought. To heavy for the winged wolf, with her vast white, blue tipped wings to get airborn, well, their was her Sky-walking ability, but who knew if that would help? Staring up at the sky somewhat blankly, the wolf's expression took on a delighted joy, like that of a Golden Retriever's, at her new found idea, that utilized her Weather-manipulation.
MAKE IT WINDY! THAN YUM YUM FLOATS UP AN- WAIT, YUM YUM WON'T FLOAT! Illyrian in her hyperactive way danced around as she contemplated her idea. Eventually the practicality sunk into her that she could make it windy, generating extra lift and thermals for her to get airborn, but she'd have to carry her prey. Smiling in a crazy fruit-loop like way, she wagged her tail and folded her wings again her back as she sat next to her prey. Suddenly the somewhat cloudy skys became full and covered with clouds, making it overcast, and the trees in the forest next to Illyrian, at the edge of Lamar Valley where she was, began to shake. The twigs and leaves danced and whipped about, some tearing up as the wind increased, making some of the larger, sturdier branches start to sway. Knowing she'd have to have at least some focus to keep the wind going, the Weather-Manipulator Clamped her jaws about her prey as tightly as she could and prepared to take off, spreading her wings.
UP UP AND AWAY, WHEEEEEEEEE!
Lyrics: Notes: Not my best quality with Illyrian, havn't played her in a while like I said, forgive. =P OOC:

(O.O You weren't kidding when you said she was... Hyper.)
Hephaestus wandered through the territory, last weeks events fresh in his mind. Sira, Warg... Lysander, Safo. He was still slightly unsure what to make of it, and he was about one thousand percent sure the pack didn't need any kind of distractions while it sorted itself out. Things like this usually did after a while, anyway. His muzzle raised to the sky, sniffing, searching for any source of meat. He was hungry, and the pack could use some grub.
His massive paws led him around the bend down into the valley, a wide yawn followed by a slight shake. He wasn't paying any attention, feeling a gust of wind nearly blow him away. Pressed flat, his eyes watched the skies, wide, blinking away the wind. To his left, a branch came crashing down, causing him to lift his form and dive away, into the clearing ahead. That was definately the safest place.
Then, he saw her- a white wolf, smelling distinctly of the South, a deer clamped in her jaws. He snarled, teeth bared, though she had her back turned to him, and... POUNCE!
He pushed her over with his muzzle, tearing the deer from her grip, paws resting on either side of her head. He glared down, crimson eyes flashing at her, though the anger quickly replaced itself with curiosity. He said nothing, simply taking in her features, the blue, the green, the white. "... What are you doing out here, little one? It's not safe." he murmured in a kindly way, realizing of course, it had to have been an accident.

| She had not even been able to flab her outspread, blue tipped wings when suddenly she felt herself tackled (In her opinion.) and knocked to the ground, belly up by clearly the largest wolf she'd ever seen in her life. Illyrian was by no means small, neither particularly tall, but when her gold eyes met the glaring, and knowing crimson eyes of the gray behemoth above her, she didn't, for once in her life, know what to think. At first the she-wolf's long jaws just hung open, revealing her teeth and her eyes were wide as saucers, her paws comically hanging in front of her, ears perked up. Than all her energy hit her at once and the she wolf, quite literally, screamed and whined loudly. She began to struggle lightly, but she wasn't getting out. "DON"T EAT ME GIANT MONSTER WOLF THINGY!" - she couldn't help but yelp out, her eyes closed in fear.
HE'S GONNA EAT ME, HE HAS EYES THAT WILL BLOW ME UUUUPPPPP!!! Trembling ridiculously in fear, the she-wolf's ears flicked as she heard him speak. She found it odd that the the biggest wolf she had ever met could have such a gentle, deep voice. Well deep she expected, but gentle not. The pup-like she wolf thought indeed he would've eaten her. Than she thought this: NICE GIANT! Her demeanor snapping from fear to happiness in a half-second, her jaws opened and she began to salivate, and her golden eyes, still wide, grew filled with her sunny happiness. The wind ceased as she lost her focus and the extra clouds began to dissipate, revealing a semi-cloudy day once more with an intensified sun due to the she-wolf's happiness. She finally responded to the gray male in a happy, fast paced, loud and chatty tone, -"HI! I was just hunting, I swear! Than you showed up, Like RAWR! I'm hear by accident, so don't eat me! BUT YOU SEEM LIKE A NICE GIANT!" The last part was screeched and she panted and whined playfully like the inner pup she was.
NICE GIANT WON'T EAT, HE'S NICE, RIGHT?

Dark ears pressed against his skull at her screech, taken completely off guard. He cringed, but didn't hurt her by any means, nor did he attempt to shut her up. Instead, he sat there, watching her, a spark of amusement landing in his eyes. She acted like a pup, like a very OLD pup. A paw lifted, then the other until he had moved his massive bulk away from her, watching, watching.
"..." He was silent for a time, though his once stoic expression broke, into a loud laugh. "BWAHAHAHAHA! I was afraid of you?" he questioned, a paw rising to playfully smack at her muzzle. "Come on, young one. I'll lead you to the border." Why shouldn't he be live her? She DEFINITELY didn't belong to Moonrunner, (he doubted she could putt up with /this/ for too long.) and she obviously wasn't here to hurt them.
His stomach grumbled as he lifted the deer by the neck onto his shoulders, licking his chops at the scent of iron. "We don't have all day." he said, though not unkindly. She was scaring all the prey away, anyway. The faster he escorted her out, the better.

| Illyrian was somewhat confused when he laughed, she never expected him to be scared of her. Exactly the opposite! but the she-wolf herself was an odd, hyperactive, fur-ball and so took it with a giggle. She got up quickly, shaking herself, spreading her wings to examine for injuries, which they're were none, than folded them. She panted, her eyes wide and happy, ears perked, tail wagging. She watched however, in shock as he easily hoisted the young deer she had felled on his shoulders. Her jaws dropped, she was somewhat jealous of his easy strength but quickly got over it, her mind racing to about a hundred different other half-finished thoughts. She pouted when he said they didn't have much time. She had heard his stomach grumble, and she thought it rude not to let him share her kill. He didn't eat her, so she wanted to give a share of her own catch in thanks.
HEY! WE DO HAVE ALL DAY! Prancing up to the large wolf at a lope, the female stated loudly, -"We do have all day! Your stomach growled, IT SAYS I WANT FOOD! You can have some of YUM-YUM!" She stated the last part happily with a cheesy grin on her face. She sat down next to the gray, crimson-eyed wolf, not moving her butt an inch towards Southern territory. She was relaxed (As best as the hyperactive she-wolf could be.) and wanted to enjoy meeting a new wolf. What was all the rush? Sure entering another territory wasn't the best idea and staying sure wasn't either, but surely he could stop and take a bit or two, right?
COME ON YA BIG GIANT, EATTTTT!

Still he was quiet, images of Sira discovering him fraternizing with another pack flashing through his mind. Warg wandered away wounded- what would she do to him? "It's much safer towards your packland. We can eat on the border, so if anyone asks, we downed it together." he explained, already padding away, towards the border. "Thank you for the offer, little one." he added with a glance thrown over his shoulder to the happy-go-lucky pup-wolf.
He couldn't help but chuckle at her antics as they pranced through the valley, eventually coming to the mouth. She wasn't as deep in as she thought, which begs the question- why was he hunting so near the border? Carefully, he slid the deer from his shoulders, depositing it upon a flat slate, taking a seat. "You should at least have the first bite. You caught it after all." he murmured, watching her with a blank expression. He wasn't... Entirely sure how he felt about her presence here. [/size]

| Rising, the female couldn't help but feel a little amazed at the male's patience. Many wolves by this point were fed up with her and her hyperactive, fur-balled brain and chatter. Only a few tolerated her like this, including a few wolves in her pack. She also appreciated him explaining, which she liked, for her need to know everything was somewhat insatiable. Following the large gray wolf from behind on her long, speedy legs, the female was somewhat surprised to find she the walk to the border was so short. She had thought... She giggled loudly and obnoxiously to herself. If she had known home was so close, she would have dragged the deer across on her own!
YUM-YUM would've been eaten by now to, hehe! Coming around to the other end of the kill, across from the crimson-eyed male, she heard him defer the first bite to her because she caught it. She shrugged and thanked him and took her first bite, greedily gulping it down, blood slightly staining her white muzzle. Suddenly she remembered something. "SORRY! I forgot to tell you my name! My name's Illyrian! What's yours?" - she suddenly burst aloud, her eyes wide again, she leaning forward, her face close to the other wolf's face, excited as usual. Her feathered (Not like a bird, but feathered with long wispy fur.) tail wagged madly in happiness at her company and she also added, -"Thanks for helping me carry YUM-YUM home!" She glanced over and her bright gold eyes spotted a purple wildflower, large for the she-wolf to pick and grasp with her teeth without ruining it. Quickly she trotted over, picked it and dropped it at his feet, as a thank-you gift, courtesy of her.
WAIT, DO GIANTS LIKE FLOWERS? I HOPE SO!

He smiled, a paw gently rising to boop her nose. "Pleasure to meet you, Illyrian. My name is Hephaestus." he said, muzzle dipping to sniff the petals happily. Carefully, his jaws bent to lift it, setting it aside from the messy meal. He'd pick it up later, naturally. Making his way back to Illyrian, he clambored upon the slate just beside her, not a pawlength away. His tounge thoughtfully ran over her ears, and with a kindly smile, he dove into the kill, chomping even bone with his massive teeth.
He licked his chops, a content feeling coming to his stomach, slowing down on the feast to save some for the she-wolf. It was nice, being with someone but not being... Pestered (Although pestered isn't the right word to use here) about pack duties. She could hunt for herself, she could fly, and probably a plethora of other things he hadn't yet learned. "Illyrian," he began, after a long period of contemplation. "I assume you were hunting for your pack, then?"

| Sitting down to rest and give the male some space, she cocked her head in a funny way once he told her his name. So his name was Hephaestus? Long name to her, but then again hers wasn't exactly short either. She smiled winningly as Hephaestus smiled and then dove into the catch. She giggled and was somewhat in awe as the large wolf before her chomped what seemed to be the bones as well as the meat and fat. She liked to gnaw on bones sure, but she couldn't outright crush them, unless she'd like to break a tooth or two. Her bite was steely sharp, and iron tight, not pure force like that. After a while, Hephaestus seemed satisfied and relented, leaving the rest for the streaked coated female. Somewhat hungry the female quickly dove in with a delighted yelp and finished what was left, taking a medium sized bone that she cleaned well before taking to keep for later to get at the delicious marrow inside. Placing it at her, Illyrian looked towards Hephaestus as he finally spoke after some time. Wagging her tail slightly, Illyrian sheepishly admitted, -"Ya I was hunting, but I was supposed to be patrolling. But then I saw Mrs. Yum-Yum here and well, I was hungry, plus I've hunted adult deer before! Actually my pack is hunting right now..." The she-wolf sat, with her tail wagging slowly and in a relaxed motion. It was nice to meet outside company once in a while, and for once the she-wolf was able to have a serious conversation. This was the most relaxed the she-wolf could be, semi-serious, but at least she wasn't screaming for once. Than the she-wolf cheerily noted, blunt and never caring about secrecy, -"Ayria and Brock, my alphas, just had some puppies, and they're so cuuuteee!" She looked into Hephaestus's crimson eyes with her bright golden ones and asked him, -"So where did you come from? Were you born in the Eastern pack?" The female was a chatty one and a curious one, perhaps a toxic mix for some.
Ah well, too bad about the deer! I'm sure Brock and th e others managed a successful hunt!

"I figured they were hunting." he murmured, flopping on the ground, hard. His jaws parted in a happy yawn, a slightly guilty twang hitting his chest. What about Sira, Safo, and Lysander? He'd hunt for them later, he vowed. He was slightly... Less relenting with his words. "Shouldn't patrolling be for.... Patrolling?" he questioned, though smiled. Her pack would have more food to go around then, what with her sharing a kill and everything.
His eyes seemed to brighten slightly at the topic of puppies. He loooooved puppies- in fact, he used to sit when the pack before the Easterners asked him to. It sounded like the Southern pack was doing well, for that he was glad. "Nonono, I'm much older than the pack." he murmured, tail lightly thwomping against the ground. "I was born... Elsewhere." But he didn't want to talk about himself, or her pack. "What about you? Were you born in the Southern pack?" he questioned, his ears perked and ready to listen.

| Glassy golden eyes bright and curious as the male spoke, Illyrian's blush would've been visible, had she not have had such thick fur. "Well I guess your right, but the more food the merrier!", - she sputtered, with a toothy grin at the end of her phrase. At the mention of Ayria and Brock's pups, the other wolf's eyes seem to light up and Illyrian wagged her tail, delighted to see he enjoyed puppies as she did. She cocked her as he wen ton about himself, however. So he was an older male, or at least older than the Eastern pack. Well if he was old, he looked pretty darn good to her, she couldn't see any signs of old age in Hephaestus, though he did seem to have an encompassing knowledge of the world in his red eyes. She smiled very slightly, almost shyly as he mentioned questions about her. While Illyrian was a very open wolf by most accounts, her past was a... sticky subject for her. But the male seemed trustworthy, and almost no one really stopped to talk to the female, perhaps, due to her hyperness, she admitted inwardly. "Ah... well I wasn't born in the South, I'll tell you that. I joined a half-year or more before the pups were born, actually. I'm pretty young, only like 2, but I was born pretty far away. I... I got chased out of my original pack," - she stated, ending softly with a whisper at the last sentence. She didn't want to remember her past, the guilt, the shame, the lightning, the wolves, the bod- she shook her head fervently, her eyes looking around, her ears twitching nervously, as if afraid someone would leap out at her. She would tell Hephaestus if he really wanted to know the whole truth, but the female was very fearful of rejection if she told.
Oh please don't get angry...
Lyrics: Notes: OOC: She wasn't evil in her past, but she did something pretty bad through an accident in her past. =X You can read it in her bio if you want.

His gaze watched her gently, sensing her unease. He rose to his massive paws, quietly approaching her. His bulk sat before her, muzzle-to-muzzle, eye-to-eye. "I don't like talking about where I come from either, it's alright." he murmured, gently nudging her neck, eyes half-closed. "I had... A difficult past, as well." He couldn't help but smile down at her, pulling back with tired eyes. "We should meet again." he suggested, though he had absolutely no idea what he was saying. It was as if... Something else possessed him.
"I enjoy your company, Illyrian." He felt her pain, longed to take it away for whatever ghostly reason. A massive tongue ran over her ears, like it had before, his heart lifting in his chest. "This rock, this table, it will become our place. When the other gets angry, or upset, or happy, come here. And wait. I'll check every day for you." By now, his mind caught up with the words he said, and they surprised even him. "Or, if you'd like to not see me again, I understand. But I'll still patrol by here."

| Feeling Hephaestus calmly approach her and sit right before her until his muzzle touched her own and her happy, bright golden eyes met his worldly, brilliant crimson eyes, the female felt better. Illyrian smiled softly, and his comforting words reaffirmed the original feeling she got from gray behemoth. A calm understanding and Illyrian admired him for it. She was so fast paced, never thinking about the past really, perhaps in an attempt to bury her memories and regrets. Standing now, and feeling the large tongue around her ears again, Illyrian grinned widely at his suggestion. She couldn't help but feel he was like a big teddy bear, a big gray one and for some reason the she-wolf couldn't explain, she enjoyed the chance of seeing the male again more than she would've thought she would. She answered him with a happy tone in her ever-eager, bubbly voice, -"I'd like that a lot, Hephaestus! I might not be able to come every day because of pack stuff, but I'll try my best! And I'll try and bring a deer again sometime!" Her grin became even wider at that and the heat in surrounding area intensified from her sunny happiness and weather abilities. Wagging her tail she licked the male's right ear and closed her eyes as she continued her smile. She now indeed had a new priority on her schedule, and she had a good feeling it would soon become a habit. She knew she might need to be discreet about it, but didn't think she'd have a hard time.

Today was the fourth day in a row he returned to the spot where he and the wolf agreed to meet, a small dear hoisted above his shoulders, the first he'd seen in quite a while. A grin rested on his face, he could smell that a Southerner had been here recently- but if it was Illyrian, or Brock was yet to be determined.
The slaterock came into view, and easily, he dropped the deer, propping himself beside it to wait. Would she come today? Or would it be like days past, where she'd either... Forgotten, or was too wrapped up in packly things to bother coming? She was young, he remembered. Maybe two or three, and still acted like a pup. It appeared she had not witnessed the terrible things in life- he loved that about her. It was difficult for him to be happy, on his own. Illyrian changed that.
Still he sat, tail gently wiggling back and forth, his gaze turned to the South. Which way had she come from? he wondered. Would she come alone again? Probably.

| The sound of hurried, but soft footfalls could be heard on the soft soil of the forest, on the edge of the Southern territories that neared Lamar Valley, to the East. Illyrian walked quickly, her tail wagging behind her as she journeyed to meet the wolf she had met days before, Hephaestus. The pack affairs had kept her busy and the male had been another of the hundred distractions in the hyper she-wolf's mind, but one of the most prominent. She felt bad about not coming, but she had a feeling he would understand. He had understood she did not feel comfortable about telling the full extent of the past she had, but still, she felt it didn't excuse her. The day was colder than normal and it was overcast, threatening light rain, but her thick coat kept her sheltered, and if she needed, she could just disperse the clouds and warm it up a little. Sure she couldn't make it the best day ever, but her weather manipulation ability did give her some flexibility of what she had to deal with. Her thoughts turned to the big, burly male as she picked up on his scent. Her thoughts were focused when he was around and she relaxed greatly with him. He provided the calmness she was not used to and it was new, but she loved it, almost as much as she loved his understanding. Suddenly she started to burst with her enhanced speed and suddenly she appeared in the clearing, Illyrian having to spread her wings and nearly tripping over herself to have to stop. She smiled when she saw the deer on the slate rock next to the crimson eyed male and came to sit next to him, golden eyes dancing.
Yay!
