As expected, the grey-black female emerged first from the rotting cabin walls. In a few seconds Thor gauged her power. She had feathered wings, about the size of his own. Her coat was marred with white, and there was a mark that ran down her muzzle. Her one emerald eye gleamed bright, while the other was pale and opaque. Blind.
She trotted ahead, stopping at a fair distance. Thor’s ears twitched at the sound of her voice. "Why have you come to grace us with your presence, Thor?" she called. "I have no quarrel with you." The dark female spoke with the authority of an alphess, and Thor narrowed his eyes as he replied. “I got lost,” he growled, and his sarcasm was more than obvious.
Raising his head, Thor cocked an eye the female’s way. His tone was serious now. “I had a feeling that something interesting was happening out here.” His gaze snapped to Jaelyn, who had also come forth. “And you know me, Jaelyn. I never like to miss the party.”
Movement caught Thor’s attention, as did new wolf scents. It was a male wolf, slinking out of the forest. Probably another one of this female’s gang. But he was carrying something – a pup. Yet none of these two- no, three- she-wolves were mothers. When Thor’s gaze returned to the dark female, it carried a certain smirk to it. I’m onto you.
Thor took a moment to clear his throat. He had considered not even mentioning his quest for more land, but now that he had witnessed an act as dirty as pup-stealing, all gloves were off. “This land you’re on. I wish to claim it.” One could tell by the tone of his voice that he was serious. Like it or not, Thor was going to take more land, and this just happened to suit his fancy.

(Aw, never mind. 3:)
Gaellis raised his lips in a snarl, but a quick snap from Moonrunner hushed him instantly. No need to lead Thor onto him yet. Her glare subsided, and a more careful spark took its place as she continued to watch Thor. Her next response was extremely gauged. "We left our packs, left the shattered remains of our homelands for peace and quiet Thor." she stated, her gaze holding fast with his, a very dangerous thing to do.
"Gaellis was forced to leave his home land because of some strange two-legged creature that carried metal sticks that fired painful stones that could kill a wolf on sight. That pup back there was saved by him. I myself left to keep my old pack safe. Fenris knows it was... Ah... Difficult for me to hold my tongue once Mors made Brock alpha. I can't imagine why Jaelyn left your pack, with your always cheery attitude." she murmured playfully. "Would you really wish to run us off of the only scrap of a home we have left, Thor?"
A smirk played upon her lips, and she glanced back quietly at Kaine, and it appeared her head bowed. "Very well Thor." she murmured. "We will take to the wild places- on the condition that you swear above all else to leave us alone. Swear upon the wolf-god Fenris, and we will never attack your pack so long as you never attack ours. We will leave you well alone. Break this pact... And you will have all of the Northern Rebels against you." she murmured, and just for emphasis, Ellis crouched down like he was about to attack.

Jaelyn lowered her hackles and her eyes went to a stoic grey as the others fanned outside of the cabin to face Thor. And he had brought that wimpy slave Twitch along with him. The red wolf herself joined up with Kaine, Moonrunner and another male carrying a young pup. She eyed it for just a moment and thought it rather odd. But in reality, it wasn't. She could sense another Uuma male intruder up the hill from there location but it didn't seem the other one was exactly enthusiastic about coming down and joining in all this fun. So she let that go and focused on Thor and Moonrunner. She sized up the others, four on one, because knowing the slave behind Thor was a coward, Twitch was effectively not even worth counting in Jaelyn's opinion. She nearly smirked but kept her cocky attitude out of the picture. So Thor was out here to claim land, heh, couldn't blame him. A large pack needed land but she was hoping Moonrunner wouldn't give up so easily. Than Moonrunner spoke, while Jaelyn's ears perked to catch the conversation. She was quite disappointed, but at least they could perhaps get an oath out of Thor not to harm them. but in her mind, the Eastern alpha was unpredictable and you never knew, but still, she knew he was sensible enough and it was ridiculous to refuse the offer. Standing behind Moonrunner the red wolf let a little unreadable smile perch on her face, her now hollow fangs showing.

Kaine kept her gaze on the powerful-looking male identified as Thor. Standing with Moonrunner and the others was odd. She didn't think she'd ever find a pack again, yet here she was. Granted, this was a rather small group, but even three wolves would have been enough to be considered a pack.
The battle hadn't started, yet. Maybe it would. Maybe they'd be able to get by without a fight. Whatever the eventual outcome, the air was thick and tense. Kaine continued watching their visitor, as ready as possible if a fight did break out. They would defend this territory from the male and then she could get some much-needed sleep. Afterwards, she'd go on a hunt and find a river, pond, puddle, any kind of water she could get to, and take a good, looooooong drink. Then she'd be refreshed and good as new. Oh, how she looked forward to those things...
Except that Moonrunner seemed to give in to Thor's wish for the land. Kaine kept her expression from showing surprise and disappointment at that as best she could by baring her fangs and lowering into a fighting stance. They couldn't just give up. Even if they found more land, he'd simply chase them out of there as well. No one else was speaking up, though, so she resigned herself to the possibility...while hoping now that Thor refused.

Thor held the female’s gaze with narrowed eyes. In all honesty he didn’t believe one word that came out of her mouth, and in addition, he didn’t care. All that mattered to Thor was was affected him, not some phony story about fire sticks and someone called Fenris.
When the she-wolf mentioned Jaelyn, a growl perched in Thor’s throat. Twitch, sensing his master’s unease, took a hesitant step back. Briefly Thor’s gaze broke off from the winged she-wolf, and connected with Jaelyn’s blank grey eyes. One could not ignore the anger that flashed sharp and bright in the alpha’s look, even though it lasted for only a second.
Thor’s attention quickly returned to the gang’s leader. After the she-wolf’s sob story, her bargain came as quite the surprise to Thor. Yet it was very appealing, all the same; what alpha wouldn’t want a pact which would protect both packs? At this point Thor allowed himself to relax, for it seemed the she-wolf was not eager to stir up the wrath of the eastern pack. There would be no fighting today.
“I don’t need to swear on your silly god. You have my word, and that’s that.” Thor’s tone was dead serious. “But if you’ve lied to me, you’ve got hell coming,” he growled. With his big-boned legs set solidly, it was clear that Thor’s seemingly immovable frame was not about to budge. The she-wolf had given him this land for a decent reward, and in Thor’s mind, she’d better be ready to high-tail it out of here.

Her lips turned upward, and she nodded her head. Never, would she bow before him. "Very well Thor. But enter the wild places without our blessing, and the shadows shall devour you whole." She turned, without another word after her sinister threat, and gave a commanding growl. She would explain her reasoning later to the rest of her pack...
Gaellis' ears flattened at the look in her eyes. It was nu-natural, with how dark they were. He glanced quietly towards Thor, a frown placed upon his lips, and as frustrated as the others felt, he knew Moon would never do anything to deliberately harm her... Minions.
Carefully, he took a step forward, and looked as if he had something important to say to the Alpha male, but bit his words back. Carefully, he uttered in that strange accent of his, "When she makes a threat, she's serious." he murmured, looking a tad fearful in the shadow of the large male. An eye remained on the male as he carefully turned, and began trotting away.
The male was already beginning to change- from the tips of his ears, two navy-blue lines dipped down almost to his cranium, and his gait was that of a confident, yet slightly fearful wolf.
"GAELLIS!" Moonrunner snapped, noticing how far behind the rest he was lagging. "Catch up! Everyone here has work to do..." Pearly white teeth glinted in the light, the first flakes of winter descending upon the Earth as she faded into the ghostly trees.
