Ayria ran across the south Thumb, headed toward the pack's dens and the site of the battle over the alpha position that had taken place such a short time ago but felt like it took place several lifetimes ago. She and Brock had discussed things earlier that day. Important things that the pack would need to know and figure out soon. After the two had spent a sufficient amount of time together, they agreed to return to the rest of the pack and hold a meeting.
That was why she was here.
Ayria had gone on ahead of her new mate, flying as much as possible and running when her wings grew tired to cover as much distance as possible as soon as possible. She didn't know how many wolves would be near the dens, if any, but that was as good a place for a meeting as any and their packmates were more likely than not at least near the dens if they weren't hunting or on patrol.
She she-wolf stopped upon reaching her destination and looked around briefly before tilting her head back and letting out the longest, loudest howl she could manage. She lacked the enchanting voice of Cheveyo, but a simple howl would be more than sufficient to gather the pack for this occasion.

I run in my pack with distant from everyone. It was just a casual day for her. She had wandered around the dens trying to be closer to her pack. Kiaros always told her it would be good for her, since she was so distant from them most of the time. Ever since the loss of Mors and the new leadership of Brock, she tried to be more of a close pack member, than one that slept near the basin instead of with her family.
She was sniffing the ground to try and pick up and scents for her to chase after. She was quiet sure what Kiaros was doing, but she could catch ul to him later. Then a sound had caught her attention. Well, not just a sound, a calling for all the wolves to join. She turned around and rushed back into the den area. It was ayria who had called the metting.
But what could it be for? Most issues have been issued. And they don't nesecarily need to run right away for more food, they had already done this. She walked up to her alphess, "is everything alright ayria?" she asked, wondering if everything was okay. She wasn't quiet used to the pack gatherings. Quiet sad, isn't it? Maybe one day I won't be so alone.

((Very first RP here. :D Excitement- imminent.))
Moonrunner WAS lying sprawled out, belly flat against the ground, eyes clamped shut. Her paws would twitch on occasion, a quiet slurry of words passing through her lips as she slept, none too soundly.
In her nightmare, the wolves circled around her, teeth gnashing the air, hyena-like laughter echoing all around her- until a pure note shattered the air, causing the wolf to leap instantly to her paws. A loud growl met Ayria's howl, before Moonrunner managed to get a hold on her emotions.
"Sorry." she grumbled, stretching her dark limbs, ears back against her skull. "Some of us happened to be sleeping..." A yawn, and her long canines flashed in the light, an ear perked up. What-could-you/POSSIBLY/-have-disturbed-me-for?' her expression asked, though she kept her tongue bitten. She didn't want to be on Ayria's bad side today.

((Hehe ^.^ Hope you have fun!))
Corra was the first to arrive, and Ayria greeted her with a wag of her tail. When the other she-wolf asked if everything was okay, Ayria gave her a quick nod. "Everything's fine, but we have some business we need to take care of as soon as possible. Brock will be here shortly, and he'll explain things when he arrives." Her becoming alphess was a very recent thing, and though some wolves might have guessed it would happen it wasn't a known fact yet, so it was better for Brock to lead the actual gathering.
A loud growl and movement in the corner of her eye alerted Ayria to Moonrunner's presence. The black-and-white she-wolf apologized as she stretched, though there was annoyance in her expression. Ayria remembered Moonrunner's desire to be alphess, and realized at that moment that there was bound to be friction between the darker she-wolf and herself from then on. Unfortunately for the other she-wolf, Ayria was in love with Brock, and she wasn't about to give him or her new rank up for anything as long as she had a choice in the matter.
Still, she wanted things to be pleasant as possible for this meeting, so she greeted Moonrunner with another wag of her tail. "I am sorry to wake you up, but this is important. We have some final things to settle before life can go back to the way it was."
Ayria looked around, hoping to see other wolves gathering. "As soon as everyone's here, we'll begin."

The clock’s tickin’, I just count the hours,
My childlike creativity, purity and honesty, is honestly being crowded by these grown thoughts. Reality is catchin’ up with me, taking my inner child and I'm fighting for custody. With these responsibilities that they entrusted me, as I look down at my dia-mond-encrusted piece- thinking no one man should have all that power.
[/blockquote] Stop trippin’, I’m trippin’ off the power,
As the white she wolf spoke of the leader, Brock soon arrived, though attached to his back was a pair of absolutely huge, brown, hawk-like wings. The pack, and him alike, had noticed the nubs that had started in his shoulders. First worry was natural for any wolf but upon further inspection Mors had confirmed he was growing wings. The new had sent him into a shocked state but by today he had grown used to the idea. They seemed to add to his appearance and make him seem bigger than he actually was.
The pain had kept him at the waterworks longer than he had ever expected. It was agonizing at first, but the pain had numbed after a little while and he could finally turn his head to observe his new feature. Never had he expected them to be as big as they were. Ayria's were white and had the features of an extremely over grown owl. Brock's were nearly double their size with thick brown feathers than seemed to define his handsome face even more. If their were questions to be answered their were even more now thanks to his new friends on his back. Brock curled them in tight, it hurt to spread them too far out, the wings to new to truly be used yet.
The alpha wanted so dearly to take comfort from his new mate, but with the needed explaining to the pack he took no comfort from her that he wanted to so badly. Instead he nodded to Corra and Moonrunner, a feeling that Moonrunner would perk up now that he was their. She had started rubbing up to him after Mor's death, wanting the alpha power more than he did. But that would never happen under his watch. Instead, Brock turned his head to the sky. Calling all the pack near and far with a much bolder and demanding call. One that all members would come to.
Now he faced Ayria with nervous eyes. Not only did he have to deal with the pack's reaction to Ayria and Karios receiving the Beta position, but now his new wings would also receive critique. He looked to Corra, who stood a few feet from Ayria and spoke with a question,"Do you know where Kairos is? This is not one meeting he will want to skip out of." Brock made a turn to hear a "whoa." from little Cheveyo who stood behind him. Her eye were quite wide with the site of his new wings and he smiled kindly at her.
No one man should have all that power.

| Sleep was a rare thing for the half paranoid Efron, between spending whole nights concocting schemes and brooding about thing after the other. But somehow, Ol' timer sleep decided to let up on the small now five month old pup and Efron finally took a refreshing little snooze. Not for long. Not even an hour into his day time doze, Efron was awaken - rather rudely in his opinion - by Ayria crystal clear howl. Acting as if he was one of the walking dead, the sleepy, and moody pup waddled up out of the burrow he shared with his siblings sometimes. Seeing Brock, the alpha, there made him suspect something was going on here important. And no matter how sleepy or tired his body was, little Efron did not like to miss out on things. Than he noticed something else.
Are those.... wings? And they look real big compared even to Ayria's. Darn. What's going on here!? Now awake, the tall pup set his dark, expressionless gaze on the wolves there, noting Corra and his sister's presence as well. He noted with a slight disdain there were more wolves than he usually liked to be around. Oh well. His eyes danced with a strange type of curiosity. He decided to advance silently behind Aryia and Brock, hoping to not be noticed. And if he was on lady luck's favored side, avoid having a not-so-wanted-at-the-moment brother not appear for a while. He nearly rolled his eyes at the thought of Eyolf, with that high energy of his and tendency to sometimes overeact... With that thought still ringing in his mind he stalked over behind a tree near by, within range to hear, but not easily scene. And even if he was somehow soon to be discovered, a little illusion could work miracles for him.
Note to self: Go right to sleep after this, yaaaawwwwnnnn.

Stunned, Moonrunner's head turned to a side, blinking while her ears pushed back against her skull. He looked downright terrifying now! A huff slid past her lips, and she bowed her head to the leader. She didn't desire to be his mate, not at all. She just wanted the position of power. "Still not bigger than mine." she teased lightly, giving a weak wag to Ayria. She didn't have a problem with the wolf as a wolf- she just had a problem with Ayria leading.
But her mind wasn't on that now. She was busy watching the horizon for something that wasn't there. "What did you call us all here for today, oh-master-of-the-universe?" she questioned rather sarcastically, emerald eye focusing on his new power. "Besides the fact you're morphing into a bird."

Kairos’ ears pricked as a strained howl cut through the quiet. It was Ayria, calling for a meeting no doubt. Quickly Kairos turned and ran, his paws thudding against the forest floor, kicking up the autumn leaves. He had been taking a moment alone to explore the various rabbit and deer trails, but having satisfied his curiosity, some time with the pack would be well received. Since that fateful night, Kairos’ usual chipper personality had soon returned. He had at last, after years and years, realized that he had nothing to prove. Corra had taught him that he no longer needed to be alpha in order to be content. So Kairos’ mood was upbeat as he entered the small, grassy clearing in which the pack had gathered. His body language read assertive but relaxed, which explained his current status in the pack: Kairos was on the higher end of the totem pole, but not at the top. Kairos’ ears flicked back in greeting as he came up beside Corra, and he gave her a slight wag of his tail for good measure. Sitting down next to her, Kairos shifted his attention to Ayria and Brock. His ears swiveled forward at the sight of the alpha, who bore fresh wings. “Nice feathers, Brock,” Kairos chuckled, with a brotherly nod to the male wolf. Since Mors’ death and the chaos that ensued, Kairos had found a great companion in the new alpha.

Ayria had only just ceased speaking when her mate came into view. She turned to him, tail wagging, as he approached, sporting his new wings. Her gaze lingered on the new appendages: Her own wings were quite large, but compared to his... They must be giving him a fair bit of pain, or at least discomfort, to have grown so much so suddenly.
As he approached, the alphess gave him a quick nuzzle. Her eyes gazed on him adoringly as she withdrew and took her place by his side. He then let out a howl to call the remainder of the pack before giving her a nervous look. As he questioned Corra concerning Kairos, she leaned into him, giving him all the comfort she could and shooting Moonrunner a not-quite-glare when she asked why everyone was being called. She certainly was going to have her paws full with that one.
As long as she doesn't make him too nervous about this...
Cheveyo's voice came from nearby and Ayria turned to the young pup, who was admiring Brock's wings. She giggled; the pup really was adorable. They all were, in their own way. Focusing back on Brock, she whispered near his ear. "Everything will be all right." Her tail, which had never quite stopped wagging, wagged harder. "When you're ready, I can teach you how to use those."
Then Kairos appeared, and as the would-be alpha approached, Ayria straightened up, giggling again when he complimented Brock's wings. "They certainly are impressive."

The clock’s tickin’, I just count the hours,
My childlike creativity, purity and honesty, is honestly being crowded by these grown thoughts. Reality is catchin’ up with me, taking my inner child and I'm fighting for custody. If he wanted rip the wings off Moonrunner, now would be the time. It was hard enought to have her gunning for Ayrias's position and her always witty sarcasm on a normal day but today it felt even worse for wear. He sighed a bit unhappily and glared at her in frustrastion as he sat, "I am not turning into a bird. Only shifters can do thaat, to my knowlage, and as far as I'm conserned we all saw it coming eventually. Mors told me as soon as we saw the spots." If you wanted to call Brock touchy today you had the chance of getting ripped to shreads, because today was deffinaly a stressful, touchy, day for the leader. He sighed and apologized lightly to the female he had just been so rude to the stress of his new feathers quite obvious.
Brock took all of the comfort from Ayria he could. She leaned into him and he leaned back ever so slightly careful of his sore wings, accepting her presence next to him gratefully. The leader sent his new male a happy look when she spoke of teaching him how to use his new wings. He whispered into herear, his voice cheerful, but tired, "Deffinatly, Aziz should probably come too. I know he'll have a ball." The last part was met with a light snort, meaning mostly that he knew his companion would have a jolly good time laughing his tail feathers off at the sight of him trying to fly with the new apendeges.
As Kairos entered the meaning Brock grinned and chuckled at his comment, looking at his large brown paws and the back up,"Not looking to shabby yourself Kairos. Now if we can get past my new feathers," Brock looked to the pack. A interesting group they were, but they were strong and they cared very much about the wellfare of the rest of the members. Now his voice grew strong, "As Moonrunner requested" He shot the female a look, "I figure you might want to know why we called you all here. I would like to present, if you will all accept her, Ayria as the new Alphess of the Southern Pack and as my new mate."
It was out now and all he could do is wait for their resposes. Whether they would be faced with a flurry of questions or with a calm acceptence he didn't really know. There was a two year difference in their age, but they both ruled with a calm and strong confindence. He shoulder rubbed up agianst her comfortingly; But it seemed he needed the comfort more than she did.
No one man should have all that power.

I run in my pack with distant from everyone. She watched as Brock walked out into the clearing. Apparently he had some major growths and developments the past few days. Of course, every knew the nubs on his back would lead to something. She marveled the wings. But needless to say, she was quiet content with the power that she has yet to know. She opened her muzzle to answer ayrias question, but she has no need. Her muzzle turned to a smile when the scent of her mate had touched her nose. He shortly rushed into the clearing and greeted her. Both of their tails were wagging.
She wanted to speak to him, but that would have to wait. The meeting had started now. Their first announcement was the deciding of ayria being the alphess. "Tell us something we don't know!" she joked and laughed out loud. By how much time the two spent together, she already thought they were official. Amd the shine in their eyes whenever they see each other, it was an obvious give away. She smiled at her alpha and alphess, hoping they wouldnt take it the wrong way. The she muzzled her face into Kiaros neck. It was her official greeting, instead of the tail wag. Maybe one day I won't be so alone.

A low, deep growl slid through Moonrunner's throat, and instead of saying anything, she just narrowed her eyes and stared at a beetle on the ground. There wasn't much she COULD do, aside from running to start her own pack, though she knew her mates- not a single one would follow her.
"Surely, Brock, you can have a mate without her taking the position of second in command?" she questioned, finally finished stumbling over her words. She had seen it happen before, anyway. She didn't feel Ayria was strong enough to discipline a pack the proper way, didn't feel she was old enough to accept such a responsibility. Really, she DID care about the lively-hood of her pack... She just... Showed it in a different way.
Her own wings folded down to her sides, her blind eye facing Brock. "Have fun learning." She on the other hand was born with the strange mutation- it didn't come later in life.

A smile stretched across Brock's lips, Corra was defiantly a sweet female and it would be a rare day when the leader would take her comment the wrong way. He was happy that the she-wolf accepted Ayria. He had known Corra since he had first moved to the pack. It was previously against Mors's rules to let a teenage male such as Brock into the clan, but the rules did bend occasionally and now the male was the Alpha. He leaned easily on Ayria, letting his body language talk for a change.
But alas the moment of acceptance was short lived. 'Surely, Brock, you can have a mate without her taking the position of second in command?' The words grabbed at his heart like a ghost hand; wrapping their fingers around his heart and making it freeze from just a few seconds. At first a moment of rage raced through his mind, the thought of sickly sweet blood almost taking him into a different realm. It was a smell that was not in reality, but it was a wonderful feeling. The kill. The kill. The kill. The kill
The Alpha was hard to waver though. He would not be tempted by his own mind into killing when their was no need to it. But rage and anger that Moonrunner did not fully trust his judgment still coursed through his veins at a frightful speed. With a sudden burst he fully opened his wings. They were truly huge, matching the size of Moonrunners easily. His head held high with wings spread, Brock looked massive. "Ayria is my mate. I trust her with my life and my pack if it would ever come down to it. You.... On the other hand...."His gaze was intense and the mood of the meeting had changed quickly, "Never. " The words rolled out of his mouth smoothly and with anger and smite in them. a full, passionate, anger that was obvious in lack of trust. "Kairos will be my Beta, with Corra at his side."
A small whimper came out of Cheveyo as she scurried beneath Ayria when the leader released his giant wings. The power in them frightened the young pup as so many other things did. The bite holes from her previous encounter with the rattlesnake ached and the she-pup's small frock of black hair fell over her left eye that was wide with a worried fear for both Moonrunner and Brock.
No one man should have all that power.

Moonrunner had started out polite enough (for her, anyway), but she was quickly assuming her normal attitude. Ayria was both pleased and sad to see that Brock was also getting irritated with the other she-wolf. It meant she truly was irritating and it wasn't just Ayria's own perceptions, but it also meant she wasn't helping his nervousness about the situation. It was something he would have to overcome - with her help, of course - but he was still very new to the position and needed the support of his pack just as they needed him for guidance.
Ayria had thought that she would be the main target of Moonrunner's malice. She was okay with that. Not everyone would be pleased at someone so young having joint control over a pack. Having Brock at her side alone would have made it worth it, not to mention the fact that most of the pack seemed to genuinely like her, or at least accept Brock's decision. The displeased she-wolf was taking some of her malice out on Brock directly, however, and that didn't sit well for either alpha, made apparent by Brock's responses.
Brock responded to her offer to teach him to fly, stating that his animal companion should come along, too. She let out a quiet giggle at that. Yes Aziz would find enjoyment in that. She would bring her own companion, as well. Almond couldn't fly - as much as her gliding sometimes made Ayria think she could - but it'd be nice, the four of them spending time together. ' Corra spoke up at Brock's announcement of er position, and Ayria smiled at the other female's acceptance. She rather liked Corra - the soon-to-be betaess was quiet and liked to keep to herself, but she was pleasant company when made to interact with others. Given how close she was to Kairos, if she accepted the pair then perhaps he did as well.
Then Moonrunner spoke up, and Ayria honestly expected something like that to come out of her mouth. Ayria took a few deep breaths to keep calm. She would not lose her temper. Not now. Not today.
Brock's wings opened to their full span, making him look intimidating. He then defended Ayria in front of Moonrunner and everyone, and the young she-wolf felt great gratitude for his words. She would work hard to e worthy of her position, and the love of such a great wolf.
Although, she had to admit she enjoyed his putting down of Moonrunner more than she should have...
Ayria thought she had heard a whimper, and - as Brock announced the new betas - the alphess looked down to see Cheveyo underneath her. The poor pup must have been frightened from the display and sudden change of mood among the pack. Shifting her position just enough to be able to reach her, Ayria nuzzled the pup, giving her a comforting lick on the head.

Alright, now Brock had just made things personal. Her one good emerald eye sized the male up. She wasn't afraid of him, wasn't afraid of anything really, but knew this was a fight she just wasn't going to win. She'd make things apparent in the pack hunt tomorrow, that she was sure of. She would tolerate this nonsense no longer.
A long, uneasy silence pounded the air. The fur along her stand bristling, Moonrunner simply rose, tail high, and trotted away.
"Mayhaps.... You have put your life in the wrong hands, foolish pup."
