[/b]umorously and almost a little randomly, the little pup suddenly welcomed her to the pack, which was rather warm-hearted considering what happened a little bit ago. Than Zafera mentioned the thing Renaissance had wanted to show her. Renaissance felt incredulous towards the little pup briefly. First she denied it on the fair grounds of Renaissance being a total stranger. Now she gladly welcomed her, than asked to show her the 'trick' she had. Renaissance only smiled though, crimson eyes gleaming. Ah pups, quick and fickle as they are cute. Renaissance only thought this out of whack because she was not used to pups, and she considered if she were more used to them, she wouldn't be so shocked. Oh well, she was no one to complain. She was after all, the one who asked to show fern-green Zafera the thing she wanted dot show in the first place. And based on solely the term 'trick', she was expecting something. And so Renaissance complied. Don't let this attract others, two other wolves is enough for now... [/color] And as she were about to reply to Zafera, Xane, who had seemed to be just distant a moment ago, turned around and apparently mentioning of a trick piqued his curiosity. Renaissance found it amusing almost but kept quiet. Xane decided to sit down right behind Zafera, and Renaissance would make this quick. She said with a smile, her fangs relatively concealed, -"I see why not. I warn you however it might not be as exciting as you think," And without further ado, Renaissance lifted her head high, as to howl. Now a normal howl would not have been impressive at all, but Renaissance was a bit different in that respect. She had the gift of the Songstress, of enchanted singing. As she howled, a melodious sound drifted out, passionate and emotional with a lulling melody with power to captivate those if they wished to pay attention. and her howl was not quiet, it sounded through the forest, overtaking the sound of the wind and falling leaves.
Not exactly impressive I suppose, but I did wish to break the ice somehow and not let this be totally awkward...

Zafera&Xaneshe had warned them that the unknown power wasn't that great. But one of the joys of being a pup is finding everything amazing! As renaissance let out a melody, Zafera watched in wonder. She felt relaxed, it was a beautiful sound. A beautiful song. Xane listened and he smiled. It was quiet a unique power. One they had both never seen.
This had changed wafers mind about the stranger, this was a trait she wished she could have. "Xane, can she just stay here? I like that song..." she looked up at the alpha. Whom seemed to rethink his decision about a trial acceptance. He looked down at the envied pup, "that would be something for...." he glanced over at the future pack mate, "...renaissance and me to discuss..." as soon as he finished speaking, he turned back to Zafera. "If you go back to the pack and you better go back, we will discuss her trial..." he spoke low and soft.
Her eyes sparkled, with the thought of her being accepted instead of a maybe kind of answer. She stood up and turned to the white wolf, "farewell renaissance, I will see you back in the pack camp..." she bowed her head and turned around and leaped and bounded into the bushes. Now leaving the two alone.

| Beautifully did Renaissance endher song. Her scarlet red gaze now upon Zafera and Xane, she got a few smiles, and Zafera, with all that glamorous pup-thusiasm, apparently now wanted Renaissance to stay. Renaissance could only feel amused and slightly amazed at how her simple song had produced this effect. Than the alpha seemed to speak of discussion over her trial acceptance. If Renaissance had eyebrows, they'd certainly be raised right about now. Perhaps instead of a simple maybe answer, she'd get a yes. Who knew? Actually that could be answered, Xane himself. He told Zafera to leave, and she could see that sparkle in her eyes. Renaissance watched as the spiked fern-green pup bowed her head and ran into the bushes, leaving her and Xane alone.
Perhaps I will see you at the camp little one, perhaps... Even though it looked pretty clear she could be accepted, Renaissance still accepted the possibility of rejection. This reluctance to accept things until it was decided was built into her by her upbringing. She had been surrounded by some of the most fickle wolves on the planet she was sure, violent and destructive one moment to supposedly calm and aloof the next. Now it was time to discuss, somehow she felt it could possibly turn into a one sided conversation, but she kept quiet, as always. Drawing her feet together in a neutral position, the white wolf listened, her crimson eyes on Xane, waiting.
We shall see, as always...

Zafera&XaneA couple seconds went by with just the autumn breeze, then he finally gathered thoughts. "She isn't my daughter, in case you were wondering. Zafera's mother and I were pack mates in our old pack. We were good friends. I was more like her brotherly figure in the pack, no one else to look up to..." he spoke with a distant smile, remember the good times. Then he frowned; remembering the bad, "the first time she was forced to kill a wolf was when she needed me most... I was always there. I scolded her when she told me of a forbidden love with an outsider..." he looked up, wondering if she was confused from where this was all coming from.
In her mind, the conversation was just getting to the right point. He wouldn't start a story and not have it go somewhere. He may be an older wolf, but he isn't senile. She watched from a distance, of course she wouldn't follow his rules, she was too curious to just drop it. Until her scent would he discovered, then she should finally leave. "My mother was forced to kill a wolf...? now there was some information she had never heard before. A wave of terror shook through her, just how cruel was their old leader anyway?

| Now that was unexpected. Renaissance nearly blinked in surprised, but didn't, after it sunk through her head. Well, at least that explained little Zafera's origin, and Renaissance had a sneaking suspicion the pup's curiosity had gotten the better of her. But she doubted that. A brotherly figure, so he was practically an uncle or father figure to the young she wolf than? Than he mentioned a forbidden love of this old friend of his. "Forbidden love,"- whispered the white wolf so quietly none might so much of as heard it except Renaissance herself. Than she saw the alpha looking at her, to see if she was either still paying attention of it she got all he was saying. She nodded at him, waiting for him to continue speaking.
Funny he mentions forbidden love,

Zafera&XaneHe smiled, it seems her had gotten her attention. In fact, she had the face of a pup that is being told a story from an adventure land. He nodded, "she had fallen in love with an outcast... I knew our leader wouldn't be happy about that... Seeing as he was a brutal tyrant" he continued on, unmasking the events of zaferas parents. "She had spent a lot of time with him after she had told me about it, and I watched. Her back most of the time. But after the fight with Roscoe and I, she had to look out for herself. He didn't trust a single word I said... And shortly after, I was banished from the pack..." he stared off. Remember the day he had to tell Sira good bye.
"From what Zafera had told me, both her parents had died... I'm not sure how, and I'm not sure if she is ready to talk about it... But knowing Roscoe, he had killed her after finding out..." and then he returned his attention towards renaissance. "You spoke of a treacherous pack life, is this true?" now the story time had switched narrators. he was anxious to hear about her past. Only a wolf that would trust it's leader would tell all.
She blinked a few times. Her father had told her she had gotten sick. Was it true from what Xane had said? Did Roscoe kill her mother? She sat down, her tail felt heavy. And so did her heart. Why would her father lie? But if he had killed her mother, what about her father? She knew he was sick, but did they make him sick? Make him eat something? No, from what stories she had heard, the wouldn't go that easy on him. "Someday... I swear I will find Roscoe..." she whispered under her breath. Now she had unlocked a new trait. Revenge. Seeing as she had no need to be here any long, she forced herself to stand up and begin making her way back to camp.

| Renaissance nodded as he continued and finished his story, understanding. Than he seemed to wish to know of her's. And while she had the same urge to bite her lip and run to prevent her story from coming out, Xane had just told his story, and Zafera's parents, to her, a wolf had hadn't even known for a day. And so she had a mutual obligation to tell her's in turn, full and in truth. and although the female had been conditioned not to trust quiet so easily and have so much faith, she had her amount of trust of Xane, and little Zafera the same. And so, with that final fleeting thought, Renaissance began her own tale with a simple gesture.
Here goes nothing... That gesture was Renaissance's raised left paw, in clear sight, and on it one of the golden bracelets with the heart pendent she wore upon all four ankles. The bracelets were a part of her past, and she saw it right, to begin with them. Lowering her paw, Renaissance began in a clear voice, -"Yes, the previous mentioning of my past is true. And the golden bracelet is from the same past. As I said before, I lived and was born in the very high north, Greenland, and Canada for a time. I was the daughter of the Alpha and Alphess, but that year, many things that had happened before my birth cause things to go wrong. Now my natal pack was always a domain for... relatively unspeakable things. For example, torture was a common punishment. Death was an everyday event. The events before my birth were my father's brothers, Marnagram and Garm, had been planning an upstaging of my sadistic father. But they were just as bad, but they were cunning enough to convince half of my father's followers to rebel against him." Renaissance looked at Xane before continuing her story, just to make sure he understood.

XaneHis ear flicked back as he heard paw steps that should have been gone quiet some time ago. He turned his head with worry, he would have some explaining to do with Zafera some time soon, but now was not the time to worry. He had other matters to attend to. But it verbal fly wouldn't be pushed to the back of his mind.
He sat with his head high as she had begun to expelling her story. It sounded similar to his, except in a colder territory. Quiet a shame how pack leaders will take their packs to this extend. Quiet a shame indeed. He could never bring himself to do the same. Which is why he started a pack on his own. To show wolves like renaissance that there are other places to take refuge and to start all over.
He nodded when she paused. It was a gesture for her to continue on. Seeing as he had done the same to make sure she was following. He assumed she had wanted to make sure he was, too.

| NNoting Xane's nod, she continued without a hitch, eyes even, -"And so they tried, Marnagram and Garm with their converted followers, but this only worsened my father's sadistic tendencies. He was a powerful wolf with many abilities... And all who tried to be rid of him failed. And after I had come of age at 2 years, my father was just well, not to sound dramatic, a living monster. He had taken some of it out on my mother only the year prior to my coming of age. She didn't last the night of the attack. And now, you see, a young roving male from a near by pack, which seemed much more hospitable than my own, and well, I quiet fancied him. We hung around by night's darkness, despite the cold, became friends. That's how I obtained my bracelets, from him. And so, to escape my father and the other pack members, who had to become like my father to even survive, I snuck out on a lone hunting trip. And so I tried to approach the young male's pack to try and join them and live a life with them, the answer was a flat out no. The reason was they had heard the stories of my birth back, monsters, beasts of Uuma wolves. They thought I was just like them, my father's bloodline did not help me. I looked just like him. And so out of fear, they turned me away, and the friend I spoke of? He was actually the alpha of that pack, but had only found out about my background a few days before my leaving. Betrayal is a harsh thing you could say. Leaving my father and pack wasn't the hard thing, I was fairly devastated when I received the no. And so I left my homeland for good..." As she told the story her eyes took on that distant look when your reminiscing about your past. The wind was a light breeze, but it still whistled slightly ominous to Renaissance, reminding her of the harsh winter lands of her homeland. She looked at Xane again, the distant look in her eyes gone now. She smiled softly and said, -"Well, that was a bit of a long story I suppose,"
And so it is known to the world...

XaneHe nodded at certain parts of the story. The bloodline, betrayal and for her reason to leave her homeland. It seemed llike a quiet devastating blow on the she wolfs life. Not the fact that her family was blood lust; similar to his own old pack, but the fact she was turned down by a friend because they judged her. Quiet a shame, a friend is never a friend until you need them most. If they help or stray is how you know they are a true friend or not. And in this case, it seems she didn't have one.
Once she finished he nodded, "long story indeed... But pack filled with adventure and life lessons, I suppose..." he decided he should lighten up the mood. Seeing as it was quiet a depressing last few minutes between them. He decided he would wait to tell her his full story. Of how he came to be alpha. He had already told her a fair amount of it, anyways. But he left out a few of his personal details. It was nice knowing other wolves escape lifestyles like the ones renaissance and himself have had to once live.
"It seems we share similar histories... Maybe it might be nice getting to know you as a pack member instead of a trial member..." he had been thinking about this since the beginning of her story. He wasn't sure why he had seemed so distant. He felt there was a different case about her. He was trying not to show any emotion, like she could read him.

| Her ears perked and eyes attentive, Renaissance watched as the alpha spoke, first trying to lighten the earlier mood with a comment. The second comment she was expecting would come up sometime, but her ears perked only higher and she almost looked like a pup with the look on her face, even if she didn't want to. The white wolf did have to admit that strangely, or maybe not their histories were at least a bit similar. And she'd quite prefer to be a pack member than trial member, but she'd take what she got, no use being a sour puss over it. Than she cocked her head as the male seemed to be contemplating something. She could almost feel a slight headache coming on from her previous uses of empathy a little while ago, so she didn't dear use it again lest her headache become an aching migraine. And it had happened before, ouch. and so Renaissance simply said gently, -"Yes, that would be nice...,"

XaneHe looked at the white wolf again. Not just looking at her, like he was trying to look trough her. This was quiet and odd situation for him. Finding a wolf with nearly the same history, but on different sides continent. He looked at her muzzle, where fangs were lying underneath. He looked at her white pelt that marked a history of an unwanted past. Then he looked through her eyes. A wave of crimson took over his sight. After his final examination, he looked up at her and smiled.
"There is Elenore, kassander, britt, Zalenus, russet, Wulfsige, Vedemera, Hydra and kodiak, and as you met, Zafera. Those are all your new pack mates..."[ he started out. "Zafera and kassander are the pups of the pack. I took them both in. And they are the same age. Russet is a bit rough on the edges, but you can warm up to her eventually. Wulfsige is her mate Kodiak is my beta..."and that was about all she needed to know. The ones he didn't list were even headed pack members, "Oh! One more you should watch for. Zalenus has a few different personalities, he switches in an out of them quiet often..." now he was finished. "Welcome to the western pack, renaissance"

| Watching as the alpha in front of her inspected her one more time from furry tail tip, to the sharp edges of her fangs. than as he finished, he looked up and smiled at her. It was pretty much a done deal. But Renaissance didn't hold her breath. Her eyes took a sort of curious look as he started listing the pack members for her. So their was an extra pup, maybe she'd meet him sometime. Than Xane spoke of Zalenus, a multi-personality wolf, that was interesting. And finally a welcome. Renaissance finally let herself fully relax, and it was noticeable. Her shoulder's slackened and her eyes took their more natural calm tones. And to end it she guessed, she spoke, -"Thank you, Xane,"
Now this is what I'd call a rebirth...
