Once Jaelyn saw Lakota move in, she knew it was time. She dashed in rapidly, kicking herself into the air with a flying leap, landing right on top of the bison, who was straining to keep her balance. Jaelyn grimaced once she realized her folly. Her right side could most likely be crushed under the bison if she toppled over now. She decided that it was still a good vantage point and she would jump off once she deemed it too risky, simple enough. Putting aside any second thoughts, she dove in to get a better grip in the bison's leathery brown hide. The reddish she wolf clasped the now torn leathery hide in her jaws, fangs clenching horrendously tight with force. Her claws quickly trying to and eventually chewing into the bison's fur. Her straggling claws left bloody raw and red marks on the bison's flanks. She had left a pretty good bite near the stomach. Than something freakish happened, well, kind of. The Bison, in all her terror and just having gotten hit with a whack of Thor's electricity-filled tail-club, she heaved and began leaning dangerously right, as if about to topple over...

In the events that had gone one before the fall of the bison. Thor had obtained an injury to his wing. She wondered if he would be okay. But as the looks of it, he powered right back in with the fight. As the bison was slightly off of it's running course and speed from the bite, sire jumped in on the attack as well. She ran in closer, trying to get to a perfect position. as the bison had fallen from thors electric attack, she leaped over and bit down into it's neck. Only he top, but it was enough to phase out the bison.enough for another member to attack anyway.
Dax had watched the action from a slight distance. Waiting for his turn to make his move. Thor had shocked the beast, Lakota had slightly impaired it's running. And another wolf he had not yet known had also added to the impaired movement. He wondered when iphe should go for it. Then he saw it, he watched as Sira leaped on it's back while it was down. He knew it would try to get back up, so he had to make his move, and now. He sped up in a flash before it decided to get back up. When he had gotten in striking range, he nailed his jaw on it's front right leg. His teeth hung on to the bone. He could feel the bone asking to be crushed. He bit down some more, and a few bites more to weaken the marrow. And on his fifth snap, he heard the crack. The front left leg of the bison was broken. It was immobilized now. He didn't stop there, he moved to the rear leg to do the same work. And quick. [/size]

“Jaelyn!” Thor barked, as the bison leaned over, and then fell with an all-mighty crash. He thought he saw Jaelyn bail off the side, and he hoped it was true, and that she had not received any injuries in the fall. He arrived onto the scene as Dax was working on the bison’s legs, immobilizing the animal. The bison bellowed, and heaved itself upright, yet it was unable to stand. Thor was glad they had it on the ground now, but his mind was moving a hundred miles a minute, calculating the easiest and most efficient way of bringing the bison it’s demise. He watched Sira leaping upon the bison and biting at its neck; it was hopeless to try to kill it through the usual throat-hold, as bison had necks about as big around and impenetrable as a boulder. But it was a start.
Thor leapt to the back of the bison’s huge frame, digging his teeth into its hindquarters. Bleed it to death, that would be the ticket. Thor had to use all of his jaw’s strength to pierce through the bison’s thick hide, but he managed to open a gash deep enough to let out a good bleed. It was at times like this that Thor envied those wolves with sharp projections, that could be used to cut and slice. But he was stuck with what he had, hard and bony horns and tail that were perfectly designed for smashing things. And believe me, he liked smashing things. Thor growled and jumped back as the bison shifted, trying to stand again, and again crumbling back to the ground in a heap. The whites of its eyes were showing, its nostrils flared as it huffed and puffed, unable to stop the pack of wolves as they cut into its hide.

Jaelyn held on like a mad man with her claws at the slow, terrifying rocking continued, the bison swaying to the sides more and more... Her eyes were a very bright red now, blood red if you will, due to the danger at hand. But it wasn't fear in her eyes, only a fierce seriousness, perhaps a bit of excitement. Jaelyn than heard Thor's bark of her name, and somehow at the mention her hair bristled up, as if instinctive, as the bison finally toppled over, Jaelyn managed to leap up with the rest of her force of the torn, red and brown side of the bison. She landed uneasily, testing the ground a few feet away from the bison to make sure she had stable footing. She did. Very close call, and earlier, she might have been impaled by a swinging horn, and later, she would've been crushed by Mrs. Bison. She only half grimaced, half grinned in her silence, keeping the hunt of her mind just for a moment. Turning around and walking forward towards the bison to help her packmates, seeing no need to run as the bison was downed, but still alive, her eyes were new a pristine yellow, calming from the aftershock of the situation. Jaelyn always cursed her horrible eyes, always betraying the sometimes deceptive she-wolf's true emotions. It never helped, only against her, she who worked through life with a bit less of an ...innocence... style she considered it. But emotion was so complex it could never be betrayed by a simple color, she often reasoned. Ha. Jumping in again with the same little forethought, as she had before, even considering what had just happened, the red coated she wolf grasped a meaty shoulder in her jaws and mercilessly teared into it, following the evident 'bleed-to-death' plan.

Tell Me Something I Dont Know;;
Hint bit at the bisons flank, ripping the skin to reveal pink flechy underlayers. She worked her way up the bisons back, trying to get to its neck safely, and maybe get this whole hunt over with. The animal always tasted better with the more blood in its system, so Hint wasn't as partial to the whole 'bleed out' idea everyone else seemed to be working at.

Sira~ She could feel her teeth slowly regressing through the tough exterior. It was still tough. But Thor was next to her, doing the same work.
Dax~ He felt proud of himself that his bone crushing abilities haven't left him since he left his old life. He wasn't proud of his murderous history, but dang did it come in handy. He had crushed two legs. It would be a miracle if the bison had walked again if it had survive. Which isn't a possibility.
[[ooc;; okay... I'm running out of muse for killing the bison...]]

Tell Me Something I Dont Know;;
Hint made her way to the bisons neck, and clamped her broad black jaws around it, her small pointy white fangs seeping into the bisons hide. She shook her a bit, ripping at the throat. Blood gurgled from the mortal throat wound, soaking Hints snout, and starting to get in her nose. She released the dying bisons neck, and started to breath in her mouth, and out her nose, trying to clear her nostrils of the bisons blood. Finally, she sneezed, and decided that she was fine, and wouldnt drown in the bisons blood. Seeing the bison was finally dead, Hint lifted her blood crusted nose to the sky and let out a soft, short howl of victory.
[ooc: same... just killing it xD unless someone else wants to put something in...]

Sira joined him in his efforts upon the bison’s immobilized rear, and Thor continued his work with zeal. They were making headway, dealing a vicious, gory blow to the bison’s back-side. Thor knew that the bison was weakening, its strength bleeding out upon the valley’s summer grass. Out of the corner of his eye he watched the pack’s movements; Dax was standing around like a useless pup, Jaelyn had recovered from her fall and was working on the animal’s shoulder, and Hint had for some strange reason deviated from the plan and attacked the bison’s neck. Their prey was ailing and unable to stand, but it shook its head with all it had, and Thor watched as Hint tried to hang on. Apparently she hit a lucky strike in all the chaos, slicing through the bison’s throat near the base of the head, breaking an artery and spilling another cup of blood.
The last cup of blood. The beast’s muscles slackened, its head lowering to the ground in defeat. It wasn’t quite dead, on the brink really, but the delay would take only minutes. Yet Thor was hungry and not a patient fellow, so he immediately began to munch on the bison’s torn-up hindquarters. Being a wolf, he did not have any interest in killing humanely. So Thor let up a rumbling growl and began to eat as the bison breathed its last. His body language had changed completely, going from the restless, crouched hunting pose to the tall, stiff eating pose. It was at times like these that one must be on their best behavior, for Thor could turn into a much fiercer, much more violent wolf with fresh blood on his muzzle.
