Lakota bounced through the pine forest, her paws making crunching noises against the dry pine needles. She let out a soft giggle, and kicked up some of the pine needles behind her, turned around, and pounced on them.
She looked up at Dax, her bright orange eyes gleaming. "I feel like a pup again!" she exclaimed. She wagged her tail, enjoying herself on the warm summer day, a cool breeze rippling through her black pelt. She glanced up at the tree tops, watching the leaves flutter in the wind. She looked back down to earth, her gaze resting on Dax.

My loyalty lies in the pack that took me in.He trailed behind Lakota. They had decided the day before to go on an adventure. It didn't bother him, as he enjoyed making more friends in his pack. It made for an easy life to live. He smiled as she spoke of her feelings of being a pup. He smiled at her, it made for an easy friendship when one was happy about memories. And they lived by that happiness. Lakota seemed to do that very well. "So what are we doing today? Digging a hole, swimming, finding a tree to climb, learn how to fly or jump into the future?" he just started to list things that came to his mind. He chuckled, knowing half of what he said was completely impossible. Maybe the flying thing, it was a trait in an uuma wolf. But my heart aches to find the loner that accepts me.

Lakota considered each option as Dax listed them, the ones catching her attention most being swimming and tree climbing. "Oh! Bam! Climb a tree! Then we can go swimming!" she exclaimed, bouncing up and down on her paws a little. She felt light a burst of energy, and spun around in a circle in place. She halted, embarrassed when she remembered she was not alone. Her tail drooped between her legs, a tingle of shame spreading through her short black limbs.

My loyalty lies in the pack that took me in.He laughed as she spun around and she began to feel embarrassed. He found it rather entertaining. No shame in showing excitement. He wondered how tree climbing could be possible, for cats it was easy. But not nesecarily for wolves. But he was sure they would find a way. "so tree climbing it is!" he laughed again.
He looked around to see if they could find a place to go. But he couldn't see any good trees. Guess they would just have to find it! But my heart aches to find the loner that accepts me.

Lakota sprung next to Dax, and playfully shoulder bumped him. "First to find a tree and climb it wins!" she challenged good naturedly. Without waiting for his consent on the race, she bolted off into the pine woods, looking for a tree with low enough branches that she might have a chance of jumping into.
She spotted one about 50 meters from where she had last seen Dax. Hopefully he was off looking for a tree as well, or shed make a fool of herself twice in only a few minutes. With a running start, she ran and jumped to the lowest branch, aiming to land at the base of the branch near the trunk. Unfortunately, she didnt end up there.
She nose dived into the tree, letting out a yelp of surprise and pain. She slumped to the ground, letting out soft whimpers of the pain shooting through her nose. She got back to her feet, and glared at the tree, angry at it for wounding her pride and stature. Embracing the pain, she took a few steps back, ready to try again.

My loyalty lies in the pack that took me in.He simply watched as Lakota bolted off in a direction to locate a wolf friendly tree. He surveyed the forest floor for a low branch for him to climb on. It had located one, it was easy for him to get to. He trotted a few trees away from where he once stood. Just as he was putting his paws on the trunk, he heard a thud. He turned around to have found Lakota impaired by a tree trunk.
He ran over to her, concerned. "Are you alright?!" he watched as she regained her comciousness. Unsure of what he should do. But my heart aches to find the loner that accepts me.

Lakota jumped when she saw Dax. "Im fine," she snapped. She couldn't build up a weakling reputation, she would have to hide the pain of her swollen black nose. Her unblinking orange eyes stared down the tree branch in determination. She glanced at Dax and stuck out her tongue, "Im gonna win" she joked, and stuck out her tongue like a pup. She started to jump at the branch again, this time much more cautious and always putting out her feet first so she wouldnt get hit.

My loyalty lies in the pack that took me in.He shrugged she said she was fine. And he was going to leave it at that. He went back to his tree and leaped up on the first low branch. He stood on it, waiting for her to get up on her tree. She hadn't looked hard enough, because he found a tree instantly. But she seemed determined. It was a childish determined, but in a cute way.
He looked up from the next branch, it was a bit farther. But he didn't really feel leek getting any higher. Climbing were for felines. Not wolves. It would be impossible to get back down safely if he had gotten any higher. But my heart aches to find the loner that accepts me.

Lakota finally managed to scramble onto the branch. Her black jaws were parted, and she panted heavily from the effort of getting into the tree. She glanced over at Dax's tree, and through the leaves she could see he managed to get into his tree as well. She glanced up, seeing the branches getting farther apart and thinner as they went up.
Technically, she had climbed a tree. And that was enough for her. Anyway, she had grown bored of the jumping and the scrambling about, it made her feel clumsy. Anyway, she liked water much more. Splashing and tiny fish, and feeling the cool water flow between your toes. The more she thought, the more she wanted it. She jumped off the low branch, and thudded on the ground. "Lets go swiiiiiiiiiiiming now!" she exclaimed. "LETS CATCH A FISH!" she added loudly. She had fish once, many months ago. It was a strong taste, but you got used to it, and learned to love it. But she could do without the scales.

My loyalty lies in the pack that took me in.He laughed to himself as he watched his pack mate clumsily climb type tree she had desired too moments before. It was quiet amusing, seeing as he leaped up with ease. Maybe she should've picked an easier limb? He climbed down and strode over to her tree. Once she had gotten on anyways. He smiled at her from below. Of course, shrews only there incase she would have another accident, he would be there to help in quicker time.
Then it wasn't long before she had changed her mind for a new activity. Swimming, and fish catching. He had nothing against it, infect it was on his to to list. Her voice echoed through the forest, his ears laid back in slight discomfort. But he didn't want to be a complete bore, so he jumped up and his tail wagged in the air, "let's do it!" he hollered. Instead of waiting, he leaped up and off into a run. He wasn't sure where he was going, so he hid behind a bush out of sight until she neared closer.
