Racing through the tree line on the outskirts of the plains, a massive black form seemed to move with an agility beyond the physical capacity for his size. Black fangs gleamed blood red with a recent kill consumed all too quickly leaving no time for cleaning up. Something drove this one to continue, a basic need really. It had been nearly three months since his first pack and driven him from his lands. Yes, they were his lands. He had fought and bled and killed many a wolf to gain clemence of those lands. But running a wolf pack with a totalitarian view of things, controlling everything to his own furtherance, was not conducive to keeping a happy pack. He controlled everything from food to mating. This had led to a crashing defeat when one too many a wolf grew a pair and retaliated. No, he would not let this happen again. He wanted to lead, this was a basic necessity, he was not happy being a loner right now. Sure he had all the food, but a bully is not a bully without folks to...well bully of course. Still, he would hope to not repeat history.
So he ran. Coming into these new lands, Warg sought a new home. He was getting tired of traveling. His once beautiful, glossy pelt was becoming increasingly matted and encumbered with the results of his wanderings. Numerous twigs and other various debris had perched and entwined themselves so deeply into his pelt he might have to shave himself to get them all out. For one once so proud of his immaculate fur, Warg was going to have to clean himself up before presenting himself before a new prospective pack. He might be a loner right now, but he didn't have to look like one. Thus far, such small matters as how he looked had not been of a concern. Besides, who cares how you look when there is no one to see you?
The weaving blur finally crossed the tree line, stepping out into the beautiful open valley before him. Here, Warg finally stopped and sat. Glaring at his pelt, he began to pick at the hated piggy backers. After a few minutes of this, he grew frustrated and finally, standing straight and tall, he closed his eyes and with a low growl, tendrils of flame began to tickle out from his form, melding with his fur. He directed the licking tongues towards everything that didn't belong there. His own fur did not burn because it was a part of him, but everything that was not, became ash. Giving himself a good solid shake sent a cloud of such ash flying away from him in a drifting haze. This done, Warg licked at his fur, straightening out the mats and making sure everything laid as it should.
Satisfied finally that he did not look like the homeless ragtag wanderer that he was, Warg took a better stock of his surroundings. Reaching out with all of his senses and awareness, he could tell there wasn't another wolf for a long way in any direction. Except...in the farthest reach of his awareness, ahead and slightly to his left, something was there. Across the valley and in the forest beyond, he could tell there must have been another wolf. Well, if there was one there would surely be others. Lifting his muzzle, Warg scented the winds.
"Ah yeeessss..." Picking up the light traces of markers, he realized he had finally arrived into claimed territory. "Excellent." Grinning fangedly to himself, Warg arose and began a slow trot across the valley. He was in no hurry. These lands would be his, this pack, would be his. It was as natural a fact as breathing. He had never not gotten what he wanted.
Standing in the middle of the valley, the wolf tilted his head back. Singing a haunting, deep, taunting howl, the Uuma challenged whomever was in the area to meet him. Clearly he was not afraid of his presence being known, stranger into anothers territory or not.

Sira.
A couple weeks had passed since the ordeal with her pack mates. Introducing her kin to the pack didn't go as expected. So her and safo had been running the pack back and forth. She was very grateful to have a beta like safo. It helped in her time of need. It was her time off from the pack and time on for mothering her pups. Her ears flicked back when they had begun to whine. Their high pitch noises sounded of anticipation to eat.
She laid on her side and they instantly nuzzled up to her. They suckled on her in a raging hunger. "Now, now little ones... It's not like I'm going to run out anytime soon..." she lightly chuckled to herself. Whenever she spoke of things like that, she always thought back to her third born. The one who never lived. She had wondered who that one would most resemble. As she looked down and saw two sitting images of Thor.
She let her head hang lightly, seeing the one who was supposed to always be their in their pups was hard to bare. But she was dealing better now and days. Of course, as the weeks had passed it became easier and easier to cope. With bouncing back and forth between being a first time mother and a first time pack leader. With those two things, your mind has no room to mope and be depressed. So much more is riding on the future of her pack to be selfish. It was something she would have to get over. Wether she was ready for it or not.
She looked down at her son and daughter and smiled. They had some to a stop now and were arguing with each other. She frowned, realizing she had never given them names. It was hard to think of a name for them, knowing the first word that wanted to come out of her muzzle was Thor. She looked at her daughter, who was taking over the argument. "You seem to be head strong my daughter... Just like your father..." she smiled and nudged at them to break apart the argument. Her son curled up between her paws. "And you are more like I am... A lover and sweetheart..." she licked his head. Then her daughter barked for her mothers attention. Like of motherhood was definitely rewarding, but it was exhausting.
She was eventually able to stand up and stretch her legs. Her pups tumbled around in the dirt. She found this a perfect moment to use the bushes to empty a rather full bladder. Of course she would still be in sight of them. She was only a few tail lengths away. She scuttled behind the bushes and give her some some pressure relief; if you will.
When she finished she moved slightly and continued to watch her pups from a distance. She wondered how they would react to being alone. Of course not for a long amount of time. Just until they noticed her presence being gone . She smiled as they continued to argue like little siblings do. Thoughts crossed her mind, still wondering what names she could possibly name them. It was at that time her thought process was interupted. A spine, chilling howl rung through the trees. Her ears laid flat and her stomach tossed.
It didn't seem to affect her son and daughter. They were still rolling around. She walked out from behind the bushes, suddenly more alert of her surroundings. She wondered how much of a threat the owner of this howl would be if they came within her territory. Just perfect, a day to herself and she is reminded once again that leading duties never rest. Setting aside her motherly instincts, she picked them up one by one and placed them a safe place. She hoped she would return in time before anything happen to them.
After stowing them away in potential hiding she began to stray in the direction the howl came from. It wasn't long before she reached the edge of the forest. Before her was the Lamar valley. A vast open space of field and grass. A hill here and there. As she surveyed the valley a figured caught her attention. Her hackles raised with uncertainty. The figure gave her much question. Although, the appearance made her stomach twist. Her stood at the edge of the forest, standing her ground. I was definatly bigger than she was. But being an Alphess left no room for running away. She would protect at all costs.

Only a few moments passed and the one he sensed had approached. A slight shift of his brow lifted as he picked up rather quickly on the fact that it was a female. Warg grunted and shook his head a little. This would be interesting.
Warg stepped forward, head held high, tail lifted and slightly curling over is back in a dominant pose. As he neared the other Uuma, his head dipped slightly in a polite nod before he spoke.
"Greetings..." He looked down at her with a wickedly devious grin. His voice almost dripped venom. Tilting his head slightly, his crimson eyes roved her form a moment before he continued. "I happened to be in the area...and could not help but notice the scent markers. I take it there is a pack around here?" Looking at her quizzically, he slightly smiled, an almost unsettling grin about him that would make his own mother be on edge. "I have been roaming for quite some time...my pack ah, ran into some hard times and dispersed...so I seek a new one." He chose his words carefully, for now masking his true intents. "Is your Alpha nearby?" The uuma tilted his head with a slight quirk of his brow.

Sira.
Her ears stayed straight and alert and her tail held high and curled. Her legs stretched as at as they could to give her a taller appearance. Although, it seemed like her attempts had gone effortless when the strange wold made its way closer to her. Within minutes she discovered that it was a male. And his appearance was strange to her. Black coat, red eyes. she didn't want to assume, but he seemed like trouble. There was no way she would let her guard down.
As the wolf came to a stop he mumbled something about loosing his pack and wishing to join hers. Then he went on to ask for the alpha of the pack. Her heart sank a little, she wished she knew where he was at. She shook her head mentally to get back on track. She cleared her voice; the stronger the voice the stronger the speaker. "Greetings to you as well..." she started off. "The lands you have stumbled upon are those of the eastern pack... Once ruled by a great leader, Thor..." and then came the part that would throw the wolf off, " now ruled only by me..." once she finished. She lowered her head lightly in greeting. Once finished she immediately returned it to a high held positioned authority and dominance.
She wondered if this wolf truly wished to join her pack. She had partaken in new arrivals before. But this would be the first one she would have to do alone. A rather exciting feeling, but also nerve racking. She found the corner of her mouth turning into a one sided smirk. She suddenly felt a little more powerful introducing herself as the only Alphess of the eastern pack. Her heart swelled with pride. Now was time for his response, which she was rather eager for.

Crimson eyes studied this one carefully. He noted her posture and demeanor. He nodded once as she told him what he had already guessed, that this was indeed pack lands. But what she said next...was a bit of a surprise, even to him. None of the packs he had ever overpowered and took over had ever been run by a female. There was always a son, brother, or even an older uncle who took the role. Bitches were meant to be nothing more then pup makers and extend the progeny. They were not leaders. They were respected or else you didn't get your chance to make the pups, that was all. This was going to be easier then he thought. For once, he wasn't going to have to kill anyone to take over.
Still, the smooth talker that he was masked his emotions almost flawlessly with his couple of years of trickery and deceit, backstabbing and bullying. His tail lowered respectfully and he dutifully ducked his head with ears laying back only slightly, acknowledging her rank in a passive submission. "Ah, Alphess, what tragic news indeed." His heart fluttered at t he thought of his rule again. Soon. He would win her over, and take his place. Once established, well, he wasn't sure yet. Perhaps his old ways would resurface here and there. If ruling with an iron paw didn't work, perhaps there was a more subtle way of getting what he wanted.
His head dipped a little more, not meeting her eyes as this was a common form of challenge. He stepped forward a bit more, to within almost touching distance of her and slowly sat, before inching his front paws forward as he lowered his belly down, more to be on eye level with her. Lowering himself he figured should put her much more at ease.
"My only concern, I do have to eat a lot...But I can easily bring down even the largest Buck, and even I can not eat all of that. So, there will be no question of my offering of food. And while my bite is just as deadly, my growl is enough to get the point across to most intruders. You can trust that your pack will be much safer with my presence, Alphess."
He waited for her acceptance or not.

Sira.
She noted the way he moved. Submission mostly, as if he knew what he was doing. This wasn't his first time introducing himself to a pack leader. Her eyes transitions to the color of curiosity. Well, to her color dictionary, it turned a shade of cream orange. She knew judging this wolf upon first greeting was not the way of a good leader. If so, most packs would be slim. Well, if they were running off the thoughts she had now.
He went on to explain his basic needs and contributions. Mentally yawning, she knew she should listen. But honestly, she could easily turn down the offer. Seeing as she already had a fair about of wolves as it is. Once again, her eyes quickly flashed a shade of lavender the back to orange. Suddenly remembering her pups. She wondered if bringing this wolf in would jeopardize their lives. The hairs don her back subtly. Bristled with alarm and panic.
As soon as she collected her thoughts and pushed them in the bCk of her mind, she lightly spoke, "what makes you think your bronze will give you a place in my pack?" she simply went on to ask. Her voice was low and calm, not like that of a normal and robust pack alpha. She grinned, "you brute force isn't the only thing that will allow you a stay here..." even she knew that Thor wouldn't allow some brute wolf into the pack without knowing their reason for coming. "You say you've been wandering around... What made your pack disperse and depart?" her tilted her lightly to the left as she asked this question. Her eyes still burning a vibrant orange.
To her, a pack dissembling could mean poor leadership. Or too many fighting for alpha position at once. She wondered which story was his. If this wolf were to join, she should have to make sure that he wasn't just some wolf looking for a quick steal to the throne. She may be a small female. But when it came t, she can really make a point.
[ooc;; a point... Get it..?? Cause she has spikes hidden in her back... Hah]

(You're a riot.)
Inside, the Uuma grinned fangedly. So this is why she is leader, she asks good questions. She will make a fine mate indeed... Outwardly, his expression remained one of neutrality as he quickly skimmed through a list of excuses and possibly allibies. He did not fidget, he did not look around while he thought. He was a very smooth liar.
"The larger herd animals decided to get smart and leave the area and not come back this past winter." He had actually been alone since the fall. "It was a very brutal winter and when the spring did not bring the return of the herds...well...you can imagine." He did not mention that he had been a previous alpha, many times over. For all she knew, he was not the largest wolf around, he could have come from a large pack of other dires. This would be his story if she asked. He did not answer her first question and comment. Frankly because he was just not sure that buttering her up with a list of qualifications would fly very far.
In the brief moment that took her to think of her response, the Uuma stretched out his awareness again, checking that there was not the pack hidden nearby, approaching or otherwise listening in or stalking them. Inwardly he blinked. He could sense the two tiny forms of life, not too far behind her. This answered a lot of unthought questions for him. So...she was a mother, this would explain her hesitations. He would have to act carefully around her. He did not seek to invoke her ire, at least not for now. A recent mother could be all sorts of trouble.
He thought about this for a few moments. Should he make her aware that he knew of them or not...Frankly, they added a nice challenge to the whole afair, but they did not ammount for much. He was going to be a better leader this time, he was not going to just kill her pups. Especially if they had belonged to her precious lost alpha. This would not be a very good way of helping his plans. Besides, she was such a smaller wolf than he, there would likely be some difficulty in their coupling. He was not worried about it. He had accepted long ago that there would probably not be any pups for him.
Still, he kept their presence to himself. It was not well for an Uuma to lay out all of their abbilities on a first date. Looking at her, his crimson eyes softened with the saddest look he could give her. "I just want a home again."

Sira.
Her eyes narrowed at the reasoning for him leaving the pack. There had to be more than that and she had reason for belief. Her reason was because her father was a blood thirsy leader. And even when prey would flee, they would just relocate. Why didn't his pack leader do that same? Such a fool. Again, there had to be more to his strange reasoning. Of course, she was Alphess and if he wanted to stay he would answer every single one on her desired questions.
"Minimal prey? That's the true and blue reason?" her voice was filled with disbelief, "a pack doesn't just break apart if there is no prey..." she began off to start her explanation. "A pack of wolves is supposed to stay strong like a family... Family is supposed to stick through everything together. And why is it your pack didn't just move to find more prey? Your pack would have grown stronger together..." after finishing her explanations a series of reason ran through her mind. "Now, tell me again, what is your reason? Because disassembling for prey are words that should stick to a loner wolfs mouth" maybe some of the things she said sounded strange and odd. But there was sense behind them. She had to be careful of any pack decisions.
She grinned once more. "Again, what makes you think your bronze will allow you in my pack and not have you run out?" he seemed to have skipped over that question. "Your muscle has reason to stay, but what about your heart?" she went on to explain. Once again, strange wording, "do you have the inner traits of a good and faithful pack member that lye beyond your teeth?" much better. She hoped she had gotten her point across, it was a simple question to her afterall. "I can't allow some brute ridden wolf into my family unless you have faithful and honest reasons for your stay..." she raised an eye lightly, "like I said, a pack is your family... And I want to protect my family at all cost"

The uuma listened to her. Really listened. His gaze met hers briefly, before his head lifted and tilted, staring off across the valley. She was good. She asked a lot of questions. He had never before had to sit through an interview. He'd always killed the current alpha and took over. But this time, it was a female in his way. Besides...he really didn't want to go back to that life.
So what to do...what to do...As he allowed the time to drag by, Warg sighed inside. What was he here for, if not to really start over? Here was the oppurtunity of a real pack. A family, the likes of which he had been born into...then twisted and destroyed by his own actions and leadership. He'd gotten his ass handed to him, many times over and learned a valuable lesson. So how far was he willing to go, to start over? He was almost unsure if he was even ready to be the kind of pack mate she wanted from him. Aye, he was a brute. Had been a downright, evil rotten brute for...well just about his whole life. The uuma sighed heavily.
Returning back to the present time with a blink or two, his gaze dropped and leveled with hers again. But this time, for some reason, when he looked at her...he felt dirty. Just plain nasty. He couldn't even look at her for long, his eyes drifting downward to the grass between his paws. Faced with the reality of his past, and the true depth of the turn he was going to have to make, well it was going to be hard and it almost scared him. Could he really be this kind of wolf? He had known only pain and blood. Hatred and anger. It was no ones fault but his own. After all, doesn't every family have that one black sheep?
Still unable to look at her, feeling almost ashamed, he finally spoke again. The whole process hadn't even really taken more than a minute or two. His senses stretched out to touch the two pups, and he could tell they were still fine, though one was wandering off from the other, they were young and being told to sit...that wouldn't last long. He would have to wrap this up and let her get back to her pups soon.
"Alright...it had nothing to do with prey...There were some things going on in the pack..." He frowned a little. How much did he really want to tell her..."Bad leadership really. He was too hard on...us. So...we...left him. Some had been hurt more then others, emotionally really, and their view of pack life...well it didn't sit well. We became loners while the rest tried again with a new leader." That should do it. "I said it was prey because...well it's a hard memory to think about. I just want to put it all behind me. I tried being a loner...I really did. I just don't like it. It's cold and lonely out there and I'm tired of wandering. Tume to really lay it on good. Your pack....it sounds nice. And you...you sound like a great leader...maybe I...could find out how a real pack is supposed to be?" Finally here, he did look at her, cringing a little inside as he did. It would take a long time, now that he was being faced with his past and the future he really did want. He had never been able to ask any of them to forgive him. He was just left alone and abandoned. His heart was dark and dirty and smelled like smoke. He'd been evil and mean it was all he knew. He would have to change a lot to be a better wolf, could she take him as he was?

Sira.
Once again, she kept note of his movements. He was hesitant and seemed a little hurt on the inside. His eyes had a hard time meeting hers, meaning he was lying about his first story. There was more to him than he was letting on. Her eyes still burned orange with curiosity as he hesitantly began to tell her his story. Of course he had danced around a couple words here and there, ones that she would save for a later date. There was still more, but she wouldn't press the issue. She wasn't a mind reader, but she wasn't stupid. Actions speak louder than words.
The way he spoke about his prior pack made her sting inside. It reminded her of father and her old pack. Her father was ruthless, he didn't care about anyone except himself. He was selfish, he was a tyrant and dictator. Whatever he said was what was going to happen. She had killed for him because he threatened her life. She could feel her right shoulder tighten up at the thought. The day her father had rejected xane and her being together. The memory of her father sinking his teeth into her shoulder and watching xane fight for her. Remembering the night xane was chased out, she felt her strength drain. She was forced to do many things to hurt her fellow wolf. Things she wished she could take back, but she couldn't. Then when she finally escaped, she remembered the glowing and nervous feeling of starting over.
Maybe he didn't have the same story as her, but it had to be similar for him to want to run away and live life alone then want to start back in with another pack that wasn't his own. Another thing she noted was every time he regained eye contact, he said words that were convincing and nearly manipulating. A little problem with honesty and being true, but nothing that wasn't fixable. She noticed the relation of when he spoke with eye contact and without.
She knew the other wolves in her pack would have a difficult time accepting him. But she had this ability that can bring out potentional, she had done this with a few hard headed wolves. It may be a challenge, but she would definatly try and help him back into a wholesome and honest pack life. "My wolves won't accept you... It's best to stick with me for a couple days. They know I don't make hasty decisions when it comes to judgement" once again, her voice was soft and calm, as usual. "There is no doubt if you try one wrong movement during your trial, you will be ran out as quickly as you stepped paw on this land" again, her voice didn't pose a threat. "You may be bigger, but you are only one when it comes to fighting the rest of a pack..." she lightly smiled. Her eyes turned to her usual concerning shade of lavender. "Welcome to the eastern pack..."

Now was the moment of truth. He watched her thinking, then dropped his gaze and licked at a matted tuff on his left paw. Perking his ears as she spoke again, he laughed heartily inside. He seriously doubted her little pack would have been enough to do much in the way of 'driving him out' he doubted any of them was fire proof. He could easily burn down their whole forest, all it took was a spark here, a little there, some over here, nature would do the rest. It wouldn't be the first time...
He would really have to learn to control these thoughts!
Outwardly, the Uuma sighed, as if relieved, and nodded at her a little. "Ah...Alphess, you are as wise as you are kind." He half smirked, and slowly pushed his massive form to his feet. Giving a mighty shake, how he hated laying down on the ground...At his full height, he was nearly twice hers, and probably more than three times her weight.
His ears pressed back slightly, and he dipped his head politely to her. "Lead on."

Sira.
She nodded lightly then turned. Her frowned slightly at his "wise" remark, she had a doubt in the back of her mind that he was only saying that. You can never trust a wolf fully upon first meeting. Even though she tried hard to do it. Every wolf has a kind hearted potential. And well, she tries hard to bring it out.
She sighed in light relief, "luckily for you, today my beta is watching the pack while I am out marking the boarders and such" this meant she would have more time with him until he was introduced to the pack officially. "When we return you will be announced as a new member... But until then I will discuss with you my pack rules and standards..."
She wondered how he would react to spending the night with a new mother and pup. Although, she was also lightly nervous about this decision. "You will also be put through a small trial to regaining entrance..." she looked back with a lightly smile. "I don't believe a name was said for you..."

Inwardly, he rolled his eyes. pack rules. Naturally, they were meant to be broken. He snorted silently at the prospect of getting introduced to the rest of the pack as a happy run of the mill yay we have a new pack member...This would be a first. He hoped they didn't all start jumping on him happily.
One ear lifted, the other twisting sideways with a slight tilt in that direction, marking his confusion. "Trial?" The expression was rather cute, it was a bad habit. Of course, he was rarely ever confused anyway.
He followed her into the forest line, sniffing at one of her scented spots just to breathe in her scent, since he couldn't very well just walk up and start sniffing her. She smelled good...Though it lacked that metallic tang of blood...he loved the smell of blood on his women...their own of course. As he followed her, he watched her rump mostly, moving back and forth as she watched. His thoughts drifted briefly, and it was a few moments before he realised she had spoken.
"Oh ah...my name is Warg..." But you can call me Alpha...or Master...He smiled to himself. Soon...yes...soon.

Her eye raised lightly. Trails... Trials... What would she do for trials exactly? There wasn't usually any trial run, she just said that in hopes of actually finding a trial in the first place. "Well, I think they will be discovered over time" she nodded in confidence. Mostly just personality trials to make sure he was stable to stay in the pack. She couldn't risk a blood thirsty wolf like the supposed moonrunner into her pack.
She smiled once the wolf revealed his name. Interesting to say the least, "nice to meet you, warg..." she could feel her normal personality return. Usually happy and sweet. It was an exciting moment for her, but he didn't need to know that. "Now, to begin with rules. Most of them are common sense... Protect the pack like family, don't only think of yourself, free mating allowed if at the right age, and etcetera, etcetera..." there wasn't much to the conversation.
She began to pick up her pace to a brisk jog, she had been away far too long from her pups. "You will be introduced to two of the newest members..." she smiled nervously.

His tongue lolled out in laughter, silently, and safely behind her. She didn't even know what trials. Of course, silly wolf, she was just scared of him. Good.
He nodded a little as she said nice to meet you, and then rolled his eyes as she listed off her rules. Well...they were the normal stuff. Except he'd have a problem with the mating one. No one had ever wanted to with him yet. He wasn't the force you to type neither. Inwardly, the wolf sighed sadly. He'd long ago accepted there would be no pups for him. Didn't mean he couldn't stare at some nice meat though. He did enjoy staring at this one.
"All acceptable...understandable rules, Alphess." He still didn't know her name, but he wasn't going to ask. It didn't matter for now.
Two newest additions hmm? Of course, she meant her pups. Her version of picking up the pace was still barely a gentle lope for him. He was getting hungry again as well...Puppy pie? Puppy stew...hmm Puppy salad...Puppy on a stick...He sighed softly. Oh these terrible thoughts!
