Lakota was about to snap her powerful black jaws down on the pesky naamas ear, and enjoy a nice riiiip sound as she tugged, but the bark of her alphess caught her attention. Her distracted blue eyes left the alphess, and she spotted the beta female, Safo. When did she get here? Lakota sniffed, she would have to learn to become more aware, she wouldnt be any help if she couldnt detect a wolf only yards away from her. She couldnt let herself get distracted so easily, regardless of the fact that a fight requires a lot of attention.
Suddenly her alphess' voice echoed through her head, Lakota, fall back! Surely this was a silly naama, there was no need to anticipate some sort of power attack. The black wolf was about to protest, but held her tongue, watching what the alpha female could possibly be doing. Suddenly quills began appear from Sira, and Lakota caught on. She let out a yelp, and let herself fall back off the naama intruder. Her glassy blue eyes lit up in fear, and rose to her paws to drag herself out of the way.
She heard whipping noises through the air of the quills flying through the air, the ripping of flesh and the yelp of the naama. She stared at the naama in awe of Siras power. No wonder the she wolf became beta, and then the late alphas mate. Her blue eyes had never seen such a display of power from Sira.
Lakota surveyed the damage done to the beta, and then watched him scurry off after Siras threats. The smell of blood still hung heavy in the air, masking every other scent in a musky red. Her blue eyes rolled a little, and she started to feel weak. She began to feel a wetness on her body, and she looked to the sky for rain. The skies were a crystal blue, almost matching her eyes. She looked down at her chest and her flank, in complete fascination. The way her skin parted and folded over where the quills had entered it was very interesting looking. The way the steady flow of blood seeping out tainted her glossy black fur brown. She let out a soft "hmmmmmmmm", her gaze fixated on the wounds.
She began to feel an ebbing in her chest and shoulder, as the pain started to scream through her spin and echo through her ears. And then it escaped through her throat in a mortified screech.

Sira. As soon as the Naama made his way out, after being severely punished for his decision to invade her space, she turned around and checked on her pups. Whimpering was expected, after all, they had just heard a fight go on. "It's fine, hush my babies..." she whimpered with desperation. It took a little cooing and convincing, but they eventually settles back down. A wave of relief swept over her as soon as peace was settled again.
It was just then that blew that peace away. A howl rung through the small clearing. She turned her head to see Lakota. Apparently she had been in the backfire of her spiked attack. Her eyes closed tightly, stress was pouring through. A new mother shouldn't have to deal with this. But, she was the only leader of this pack, it was a touch life to live right now. At least she had a home.
She turned back around and hurried to lakota. "I told you to move..." she grumbled as she surveyed the damage. Deep scratches was the verdict. As opposed to the Naama who was almost skewered to death. "Can you walk? Are you able to move?" she began to lick up some of the blood that was coming out. It wasn't too bad, but there was still some present. "If you can I will take you to the small lake so we can wash you off..." a sigh of stress was released once again. She didn't want to leave her pups in the care of safo. she didn't want to leave them in the care of any wolf. She wanted to be the one to watch them. Just her.

Pain welled up in Lakotas blue eyes, and she winced when the alpha female got near and touched her. How could the alpha have done this? Feeling betrayed, she snapped her jaws warningly near the alphas females face, her fangs shiny with her poison.
She turned away quickly to flee from backlash, after all, this was the alpha female. The quills ripped her skin a bit more at the sudden movement. She loped off painfully, trying to get away from the wolf who hurt her.
Her face hardened and her eyes set cold as she put distance between herself and the makeshift den. She should have let those pups die.

Safo hadn't been able to do much beyond being a meat shield for the pups, but apparently that was all she needed to be. She sighed in relief as the attacker fled ad suppressed a small shiver. She had been so used to Sira being something to look after that she forgot just how fearsome the alpha could be. There was no doubt in her mind that the new mother had what it takes to lead the pack alone. She wasn't done looking for Thor, but she was losing hope of ever finding him alive.
A loud noise startled her out of her thoughts, and she noticed Lakota hadn't been able to make it out of the way of the quills. Her eyes grew wide in alarm, but she held back. She wasn't a healer, and there was nothing she could do except guard the pups while the alphess was distracted.

Sira. Her ears laid flat as Lakota snapped at her. Anger burned inside of her. How could her pack mate seem so ungrateful for her tying to help her out for her accident. She couldn't feel the pressure rising, and there was no way or no one that could stop it. Thor did that, and now he was gone. Ner stomach ached with the large amount of nursing she had been doing for her first litter of puppies. And now, her pack mate is going to snap at her for something that was accidental? Maybe she would regret this later, but now, the fire has been lit.
"You know, what, fine... If you want to act this way, fine. If you don't want help them just continue to walk away because that is what I was going to do. If you want help, go find another wolf because I have things that I have to do for my pack than to be snapped at by a wolf; who I greatly appreciate for helping me. So go find someone else to give you help because I have suffered through a lot. Loosing my mate, being pregnant. Leading on my own. And caring for my babies as a first time mother" she backed away closer to her pups. "I apologize for what I did, Lakota, dear, but I can't handle this at this very moment..." now she felt the regret inside of her. She was never like this, maybe it was just everything coming out at once.
"Safo, please help Lakota..." she whined quietly, "I'm sure she doesn't want to be around me..." she walked into her makeshift den to check on her pups, who were napping peacefully. She nearly broke down, how could they sleep at such a time full of anger and regret? If only they knew. At that time cierra had crashed through the bushes. "I heard a fight break loose! Is every one okay?" the shewolf checked the clearing. Her eyes opened wide when she spotted her pack mate, "Lakota!" she took a couple steps towards her but she desperately needed help. "Cierra, please grab him.." her voice was stern and directed with immediate attention. The wolf nodded then obeyed her orders. "Thank you..." she then grabbed her daughter then led the way back to the den that her and Thor once lived in.

H E P H A E S T U S The male had not been present for the ruckus, but he had certainly heard it from his sunning spot. The massive wolf rose at the sound of snarling, not even bothering to shake the dust from his fur. Instead, he bounded over the gently budding grass bundles and flowers, pouncing over the few rows of bushes with ease.
Iron clogged his senses, and he found himself confusedly looking left and right for any sign of the intruder, but the only sign was a few way-ward quills, an amount of crimson liquid, and a wounded Lakota. He didn't even need to ask 'What happened?' to understand the gist of it.
"That was quite the rage, Sira... I'll go as well." he murmured to the concerned Alphess with a bowed muzzle, trotting after the wounded fae. This was NOT a time to be roaming alone by yourself, though after bringing this fact up with himself, he found it... Difficult to choose to stay with the suckling Alphess, or pounce after t
"Lakota!" he called, concern washing over his muzzle. With the way she limped, it looked bad. His expression hardened, large paws keeping pace with the wounded Lakota with ease.
