Humming to himself, the now lax Wulfsige trotted without a care in the world to his favorite spot in the whole territory. The place where he had first got into the pack through Xane's acceptance and the place where he had met Russet. It was a hidden, rather romantic waterfall hidden at the edge of Hayden valley, and just in Teton forest. It was a cave like place surrounded the the thickest and oldest of trees, and where the trickle of water was like a powerful lullaby. Behind the waterfall was a small cave big enough for around three wolves to stay in as shelter. It was the place where so many good things happened in his life and so he associated it with good luck. He slipped in between two trees to this spot. He closed his white eyes and thoroughly took in the aroma of the waterfall. Crisp, cool and pure water ran down here through one of the tributaries of the river that ran through most of Hayden valley. Shaking his red, bristly coat, the wolf went to the edge of a water for a drink, lapping it up slowly, to savor it's taste. And then he sat, eyes penetrating the forest, waiting for something, someone.

Russet strolled through hayden valley, her proud chin lifted high and her tail confidently lifted behind her. Her amber eyes gleamed in the light, as she made her way to the edge of the territory. It wasn't often that she journeyed all the way out here, but it was worth the journey when she knew what, or who really, was waiting at the end. Wulfsige was probably the only wolf in the world that never set her off, and she herself was never able to provoke him, even when they met. He would likely be the only wolf to escape her taunts.
Her paws crunched across the crisp icy leaves as she made her way to the waterfall. She could hear the rushing water echo off the rocks. She slipped through the huge old trees into the hidden place, and recognized the form off her mate, Wulfsige. She wagged her reddish tail as she approached him.

The normally dull glint in Wulfsige's eyes lit up at the sound of his mate's footfalls. Standing up as Russet approached him, Wulfsige smiled gently with perked ears and happy eyes. "Glad you came out here today, Russet"- the reddish male purred almost. He started to walk forwards toward the tiger-striped female to greet her. Once he stood apart from her he nuzzled gently with his nose, not at all afraid of a snappish retort or rejection. He was completely open with his mate and found her company unlike any other wolf's. Standing back now, he looked into her eyes with a calm, friendly posture.

Russet nuzzled the male back, smiling. She looked at him with warm amber eyes. "I couldn't think of anything else to do," she joked warm-heartedly. Wulfsiege was the only wolf that, if anything, was teased not taunted.
She flicked her eyes to the waterfall, and took a step closer, penetrating into a cloud of mist. Small beads of water attached to her fur, getting the ends of her fur a bit damp but the rest stayed dry. She shook her head and little and closed her eyes, enjoying the cooling sensation.

The male chuckled softly at his mates sense of humor, his normally cold white/blue eyes warm with affection. The male, years before he had joined the Western pack and as a strapping young 2-year old, had been betrayed by his family in a harsh winter storm. He want just cold physically then, he was cold on the inside and saddened, lonely, the fire in his heart having been burned out. And so when he joined up here, he was downcast, if not downright moody and cold all the time. That changed when he met Russet. He hadn't been sure of the vibrant female, with her love for taunting others and such, at first. But days after, he felt a spark of life again. He watched with content as Russet enjoyed the cooling spray of the small waterfall, her eyes closed in enjoyment. He smiled and padded under the spray as well, a foot or two from Russet, receiving the same spray as she did. This was probably one of his favorite activities, enjoying life with the perhaps literal light of his life.
