Okay, my curiosity kind of got the better of me, jokingly. Basically I wanted to have a thread where we could share words of wisdom or something like that were meaningful or somehow interesting to you. Just thought it might be a kind of cool topic to start off with.
Here are some that I like (Mostly just some funny ones.), also their are some in my signature:
"Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower." ~Hans Christian Anderson
True, but also with a little humor. ;D
"Hatred is one long wait." ~René Maran
The topic of hatred is a serious one, but this saying happens to be funny. XD.
Love is blind; hate is deaf. ~Author Unknown
Well okay Mr.Pessimistic! I can see the love part, but not the hate part, odd...
Do you have any that you find funny? Any you disagree with or agree with? Ones you'd like to share, or interpret the meaning of?

Hate is deaf? hahaha. maybe because you hate the person or thing so much you wont listen to reason, which makes you deaf?
either way, i like the quote[=
"The average woman would rather have beauty than brains, because the average man can see better than he can think." - unknown
sorry guys, but this is pretty true:p

sorry guys, but this is pretty true:pSo. True. In. At. Least. 75%. Of. Cases. Of. Mine. =P It's quite annoying. I myself prefer brains though, XD.

Haha, great idea Sandtiger. I suppose my favorite quotes are from the Bible; this is one them:
"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." - Luke 12, verses 6 and 7.
I love this one because it speaks about how even the smallest, most insignificant creatures are still remembered by God. It makes me feel glad that I love them just like God does. But even more important than the sparrows, is us.

That's a neat little verse, I must agree. Sparrows are cute, just like us. XD.
Meh, I'm not sure on my religion, though my family's pretty much Christian. =)

"Tuck said it to Winnie the summer she turned 15: Do not fear death, but rather the unlived life. You don't have to live forever. You just have to live. And she did." -Tuck Everlasting by Nattalie Babbit
Love that quote sooo much. Represents me alot, I mean I sometimes feel as I fear death but at the same time you can't fear death because it is only natural for us to die. I have huge bucket list by the way! It's like three pages long:P
Some others that are my favorites and really represent me,
“If you wish to forget anything on the spot, make a note that this thing is to be remembered.” ~Edgar Allan Poe
“A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.” ~Lou Holtz
“From my rotting body, flowers shall grow, and I am in them and that is eternity.” ~Edvard Munch
“A sense of humor... is needed armor. Joy in one's heart and some laughter on one's lips is a sign that the person down deep has a pretty good grasp of life.” ~Hugh Sidey
“Common sense and a sense of humor are the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just common sense, dancing.” ~William James
“Everywhere is within walking distance if you have the time.” ~Steven Wright
The one in bold is one of my favorites! And I love the bottom one because I run Cross Country and while every one else sees something as such a long walk we see it as easy as melting butter. Lol.

asdsdccs I love things like this. To list a few:
"From the scholarly point of view, it's practically a crime not to know everything." - The Dao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff
- This is just so true. Some people really love their knowledge. People just like appearing wise for some reason. I guess it could be someone's way of being taken seriously.
"Those who hate most fervently must have once loved deeply; those who want to deny the world must have once embraced what they now set on fire." -Kurt Tucholsky- Also true. I can't really explain it, though...
"The the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world." - I can't remember who said that.- You may not mean much to all six billion people on earth, but to at least one person you mean everything. This applies to life very well at the moment...
"The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it." -George Bernard Shaw- This makes me laugh. I love it when people call me a cynic even though I'm just calling it as I see it. It's not my fault some people can't see that most humans are selfish creatures.

"You get in there and stop procrasturbating" - Virginia Chance (Raising Hope) Cause I procrastinate A LOT! "A goalies goal is to have no goals" - My and my friend I play goalie in soccer, we made this up when we won a tournament. "Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings." I just love this one

T. Swift<3 dont really like her as a person, but her music is good for breakups for me dont mind my sulking:p {Last Kiss} I don't know how to be something you miss I never thought we'd have a last kiss Never imagined we'd end like this Your name, forever the name on my lips The life of the party, you're showing off again And I roll my eyes and then You pull me in I'm not much for dancing But for you I did I love how you walk with your hands in your pockets How you kissed me when I was in the middle of saying something There's not a day when I don't miss those rude interruptions So I'll watch your life in pictures like I used to watch you sleep And I feel you forget me like I used to feel you breathe And I keep up with our old friends just to ask them how you are Hope it's nice where you are {Long Live} The night you danced like you knew our lives Would never be the same You held your head like a hero On a history book page It was the end of a decade But the start of an age Long live the walls we crashed through I had the time of my life with you {Dear John} (his name is john... irony hehe) Long were the nights when My days once revolved around you Counting my footsteps Praying the floor won’t fall through, again My mother accused me of losing my mind
But I swore I was fine And you'll add my name to your long list of traitors who don't understand And I'll look back in regret how I ignored when they said
'Run as fast as you can’ Dear John, I see it all now that you're gone
Don't you think I was too young
To be messed with You are an expert at sorry And keeping the lines blurry Never impressed by me acing your tests All the girls that you run dry have tired lifeless eyes Cause you burned them out
But I took your matches Before fire could catch me So don’t look now I’m shining like fireworks Over your sad empty town {If This Was A Movie} Last night I heard my own heart beating Sounded like footsteps on my stairs Six months gone and I'm still reaching Even though I know you're not there I was playing back a thousand memories, baby Thinking 'bout everything we've been through Maybe I've been going back too much lately When time stood still and I had you I know people change and these things happenBut I remember how it was back then Locked up in your arms and our friends are laughing 'cause nothing like this ever happened to them, Now I'm pacing up the hall, chasing down your street Flashback to a night when you said to me, "Nothing's gonna change, not for me and you Not before I knew how much I had to lose"
Come back, come back, come back to me likeYou would, you would if this was a movie Stand in the rain outside 'til I came out Come back, come back, come back to me like You could, you could if you just said you're sorry I know that we could work it out somehow But if this was a movie you'd be here by now
If you're out there If you're somewhere If you're moving on I'll be waiting for you Wary, since you've been gone I just want it back the way it was before And I just want to see you back at my front door And I say

On the topic of religion, I'm more Buddist than anything. c:
Now, onto the quotes!
I don't remember who came up with it, but- 'Just because no one complains doesn't mean all parachutes are perfect.'
