Vesperi stood on the verge of the territory - keeping just outside it, but definitely where any wolves in the pack could see her. It was definitely a pack territory, given all the smells inside it, and had been just what she was looking for. She had been traveling for quite some time, heading south from her former territory to what she hoped would be a new home. Now, she felt as though she had traveled enough, and that it was time to start finding a territory to call home. Her heart ached for a home, and for others of her kind to protect and be protected by. She wanted desperately to continue inside, but if she was going to get on their good side she would have to do this properly, and that meant not placing one claw into the territory without their permission. When someone came along, she would explain her situation and let fate decide what happened next.
Maybe if I'm lucky I'll be home today... She drew in a deep breath while she waited and watched the territory for members of the pack that owned it. Now, she would have to play the waiting game and hope she didn't have to wait long.

Only doing as I have been told..Her in camp suspension had been liften, finally. But whose to say another adventure out on her own wouldn't suspend her again? Oh well! Where ever her paws take her is always her go to excuse. She wandered around the forest. Wondering if Xane had noticed she had gone missing yet. Poor guy, she is going to make all his fur turn white by the time she is grown. At least he gave her some guidance.
She bounced around through the fallen leaves on the ground. Giggling with happiness, she liked fall. Since the first time; which is when she met renaissance, and to now. Her ears perked up, her nose had caught a scent. This was an unfamiliar one. And since she had been in the pack long enough to distinguish her pack scents. She trotted along until the scent grew stronger. "Hello?" as if that wasn't to show she was foolish and nieve. I now roam the lands all alone.

However long she had been waiting it seemed even longer with her growing anticipation and anxiety over meeting any member of the pack. What if they rejected her? Or they accepted her but then she let them down. She could pull her own weight, at least in her former packs, but the rules would be different here, right? And the climate was so different from what she was used to...she was really out of her element, here.
Only until winter... she assured herself. And after that, I'll be able to acclimate myself to the warmer weather this far south. And as for being rejected...it simply meant her life wouldn't change this instant, and there were other packs she could try. Surely someone would take her in.
She jumped, startled, as a voice called out a greeting from within the territory. It sounded young, like the voice of a pup. Even so, she had been spotted by a member of the pack. This was what she had been waiting for.
Vesperi hunched slightly, keeping her ears and tail lowered. She was an outsider, so a submissive posture was a must. "Er...hello."

Only doing as I have been told..She looked around with cation. She knew someone was there. And she wasn't sure of what to do. Even though their recent addition, renaissance, had stumbled across her. She was the one who had called Xane to add her to the pack. She could easily do this again.
Her tail puffed when she heard a reply back, "Who are you, and what do you want?" she growled in response. She then suddenly got nervous and decided to hidemin a bush. Her fern color coat helps her csmofluage easier. But she little scent always revealed her. You can never be too sure with a strange wolf. At least if the wolf were to attack, she cam push her quil-like spikes into their faces and call Xane. And she knows he will be their in a heart beat. I now roam the lands all alone.

It seemed to take forever for the pup to respond, though the reality was that it couldn't have been very long at all. Every second seemed to go on for ages for the nervous adult. She was dreading what was to come while eagerly awaiting it at the same time.
Luck, please be with me...
The pup responded with a growl. It would have been cute if not for the situation, but with the situation it put her on edge. But then...perhaps the pup was being cautious rather than aggressive. It was a wise move, and - now that she thought about it - a good parent would have taught a pup to be careful around strange wolves.
"My name's Vesperi," her tone was meek and quiet, though still audible. "I...er..." She took a deep breath. "I would like to join your pack, if I may. Is there any way I might speak with your alpha?"

Only doing as I have been told..As she waited for the wolf to respond, she wondered if the wolf was a threat. After all, if a wolf meant harm they would have crossed over in the territory carelessly. This wolf was not. Her ears perked up when the wolf replied. She frowned, this wolf was rather shy. Her voice as so tiny! She jumped out of the bushes to see her. She smiled, "I'm afraid you will have to speak up... I couldn't hear you. My ears were covered by leaves..." she grinned.
Meanwhile, back in camp. He sniffed the ground to find existence of her. She growled. She had run off again. He couldn't blame her, after being grounded to the camp for so long, he would have run off too. "That pup is asking to be in trouble..." he growled under his breath. He had never known a wo.f to run off as much as she did. I now roam the lands all alone.

A few moments after speaking, the other wolf jumped out of the bushes. It was a pup like she had guessed, but one that was quite formidable looking for her age. It was the spikes, she guessed. Spikes were painful: a lesson that had been learned the hard way far too recently for her to admit.
The pup told her to repeat herself, and Vesperi took a moment to gather up the courage a second time. Maybe this was just a game the pup was playing, but her future depending on her cooperation. The moment passed, and she felt as ready as she could be...which wasn't much, due to her nerves. "I wish to join the pack, if I may. Could I meet with your alpha?"
