THE LANGUAGE:
As most of you know, the Uuma (the higher race of wolf) have developed their own language. To listeners, it sounds rough and throaty, but mimics the lilting speech of birds. Here are some unique words that they use:
Ka, a mild curse word.
Lorem, a friendly greeting, often used between pack-mates.
Salutem, meaning "good health to you."
Aeger, meaning "bad health to you." Used as a curse word toward enemies.
THE LORE:
Most Uuma are aware that their kind was essentially created by humans, many years ago. The common belief is that the Uuma later destroyed mankind, although some individuals still think that someday the humans will return.
In Yellowstone, the Uuma worry little about humans. The land is completely wild, and there are only a few signs that man had ever roamed the area. Therefore they have become very confident, and believe that they have replaced humans at the top of the food chain.
The majority of Uuma do not believe in gods of any sort - they would rather rely on themselves than any higher power. Subject to change |
