Appearance: As a pure Ethiopian wolf, Lysander is quite light and perhaps smaller than other types of wolves by a considerable amount. He weighs only at about 37 pounds, and is tall for an Ethiopian wolf. He stretches about 4 feet from tail tip to nose tip. His body elongated and low-slung to the ground, with rather long and thin legs compared to his body. His snout is long and narrow, with his ears being pointed, triangular, and broad. His tail is long and hangs behind him. He has a lean build with a deposition for speediness due to larger muscles than average in his fore and hind legs, his endurance is average and strength is not his best, but can hold his own. His claws area black and take on the quality of being retractable like a cats and extra sharp.
Lysander's main coat is a reddish-brown, with rusty red and oranges creeping in in patches of his body. His ears, legs, tail and underbelly all show white and darker brown to black coloration in areas. A marked band of orange accents he darker back and the colors come in waves on his flanks and back, from lighter, to darker. His tail is banded with white at it's base and black at hit's end and tip. His left front leg has a 'sock' coloration of orange tinted white right up to his thigh. His extremities tend to be lighter than his body. His nose is the typical raven black, as are his claws black. His eyes are a bright, lively neon green with an iridescent quality to them.
Basically this is a large pure Ethiopian wolf with broad ears, green eyes, low slung body and long legs, with marked gifts of enhanced speed and retractable, sharp claws due to his Uuma heritage.
Temperament: Lysander is a calm, rather casual wolf with a smooth personality. He almost never looses his cool, and is patient enough, but he surely isn't stoic either. He does have a slight thing for remarks and sarcasm, and surely has a sense of humor. His eyes shine with shine with a spirit of life, and a go with the flow attitude. He's usually definite on decisions regarding himself, but works well in groups, open to compromise when necessary. He is an independent wolf, but with a penchant for socializing, and in the past and present, flirting. He's extremely self confident and has an infallible faith in himself, and is a bit of a perfectionist. He is easily aggravated by his own failures all to often.
He however, while having a cool temperament and not one to fluently express his emotions like an open book, but by no means afraid to, is an easily annoyed wolf. Especially by wolves who act immature, have no common sense, ask too many questions and all around appear in his eyes incapable of carrying their own weight in the pack. He is a serious wolf with sometimes subtle ways, but is generous at times. And while perfectly capable of having an ulterior motive, he rarely does. He would much rather have someone else call the shots, but he is good for usurping a position of responsibility or leadership because he is willing to step up. The cool-headed wolf don't have his head stuck in the clouds but is inventive and scientific, quite capable of solving complex problems, intelligent enough he is.
When confronted by one he personally does not like, he is often likely to smite or mock that wolf purely out of his own feelings, and often is one to say 'do it yourself'. but those he is truly loyal too will find him a valuable ally and willing to pay you back on virtually anything you do for him. It's the way this wolf works. He'll show loyalty if you show him some, same with respect. But if you do not keep your word with this male, or turn your back on him, be prepared for some vengeful times ahead indeed.
History: He is not very open about his past, and refuses to tell for the most part. He usually lies an says he was born in a human zoo in the days before now, and escaped, but it's not true. He was really born in Ethiopia, in Africa and somehow, with a group of his pack found an abandoned ship from old times before and unwittingly boarded it. A storm unlatched the boat's anchor and the wolves were set adrift on the boat. Somehow, after weeks and months, the year old Lysander and two survivors from his devastated, and stranded pack landed on the North American coastline. In bad health and starving and thirsty, Lysander went it alone from the other two survivors who soon died after landing, he caught some mice and drank from the unfamiliar rivers and streams. Wandering aimlessly, the lost wolf raised himself virtually on a foreign continent traveling East until he reached Yellowstone national park. Finding prey plentiful and land wide and expansive, he stayed here and currently roams the area. He still feels apprehension being rather small compared to the other wolves in the park and the feeling a foreigner feels, but he now seeks a pack's refuge to where he may devote himself.
