Appearance: Jaelyn is a pure Red Wolf, nothing odd about that except for the fact their mostly endemic to Florida or such, not Yellowstone. She is average height for her type and gender at about 28' at shoulders, though shorter than some of her fellows. She weighs around a good 65 to 70 pounds, so an average, to heavier than average female. She has a lean, muscular build, and a fairly powerful muscle tone for her build and it shows. She has slightly slim, defined limbs, with an overtone of muscle. She is a powerful fighter, not so much as a runner, and has better stamina if anything. Her snout is broad, but long, and her teeth are a bit small, but clean for her age, sharpness is granted. Her tail length is average to short. Her proportions are that her legs & body are about equal, which is good for her balance, and she isn't top heavy.
Jaelyn's coat is a wave of different colors with her muzzle, head and back being covered in ripples of black and dark brown with some rustic coloration in between the stripe like black markings. Her flanks are rusty caramel color with some dark tanning as we go down to her legs, melding into a bright tan with noticeable red and orange tones in the sunlight. Her nose is a solid black while her tail is a baritone of browns. Her coat is thicker and denser on her back, tail and head than, with a slightly lighter coating is on her legs and muzzle. Her coat is mostly dense and fluffy, like wool, with little prickliness behind it. Her underbelly is an off white. Her eyes are a little larger than average, and their normal color is an enticing, warm orange-brown normally, but they change according to her emotion s or the seasons to her Gala Eyes.
Temperament: Jaelyn is a charismatic and sly young female. She will take advantage of anything or anyone to get what she needs to do done and doesn't feel guilty at all if she needs to do it. Now, she doesn't do it so often as to have a reputation of doing it and she does it so subtly her victims might not even realize. She does play mind games to her advantage. But she normally is a an energetic, cool type wolf, she has a love of pups, but she isn't dependent on anyone. Her sense of humor is more witty or sarcastic, and she'll make a brash remark if necessary. She's got a slight natural charm to her and smiles either falsely or genuinely. You just don't know with her, she takes life as a game and is actual somewhat mysterious in what she does.
She isn't reclusive, but no social butterfly either and will usually help only if its to her benefit or for some kind of hidden gain. She knows a lot and keeps it under lock, like her weather predictions. She's trustworthy, but not many people know that about her. Once she swears something, she'll keep it, but do expect her to find a loophole if she doesn't like it. She likes to work behind the scenes and watch the drama play out. It's a sort of game for her. She finds others drama amusing, in truth, and she's basically at harmony with herself. No inner turmoil because of some horrible event in her past or such. Her motto is life is a game. While she can be a bit manipulative and does kind of play tricks behind the scenes and is a bit mysterious, she is trustworthy and is a good wolf to have on your side if you need a clever ally to get you out of something.
History: Jaelyn's original pack was not exactly a happy little family. She was the daughter of the Alphess, Siren, but not the Alpha known as Avalon. Why? Her mother, Siren, had fallen in love with another wolf, specifically, an outcast, which was Jaelyn's father. The outcast was actually the Alpha's brother from another litter who had been kicked out by Avalon for disobedience. and thus a big love triangle with disastrous effects happened.
After Avalon found out about his mate's scandal with his brother, the domineering alpha quickly took action, and viciously. He engaged his brother in battle and easily won against the smaller male. Than he turned on Siren, ignoring Jaelyn for the moment. He wounded Siren brutally and demoted her to Omega, no longer his mate. He declared that when Jaelyn was of a year of age, she would die by his jaws and no one else's, while her mother watched.
Thus Jaelyn was allowed her first year, and while no one told her of her origins, she quickly figured it out with her rapid pace mind, because the rumors spread like wild fire. Her uncle, the Alpha, was brutalize her every month with a slight chomp or nip to the neck, it was amazing she didn't die. Her mother committed one more offense, by trying to stand up to her former mate, and died by his jaws the following hour. Thus she was orphaned, and she was left to her uncle with no defense.
Somehow she caught wind of what was to occur on her first birthday, even if her mother was long gone, as was her father and she plotted to escape. She was always a calm mind, but she sure as heck didn't want death taking her already. She escaped on the eve of her birthday, in the middle of the night, and grew up in the wild, surviving on limited hunting skills. This continued until around 2 years of age, when she joined this pack. Her experiences didn't traumatize her into obedience or such, only to manipulate or look out for herself for the most part, no longer would she be the outcast or the one who was cursed from birth. She'd be the offender, not the victim, if it ever came down to it.
